I have a Shield TV and I am able to move applications to the SD card through the app manager. However, I have noticed the entire application doesn't move - only the base portion of the application. It seems like most larger games download external OBB files that are quite large - but are not apart of the migration to the SD Card.

Is this known? Expected behavior?

The one i bought is the Skyndi MXQ Amlogic S805 Quad Core Kodi Android TV Box i also bought a Bros Unite MX3 2.4G Air Mouse Mini Wireless Keyboard Remote Control & 3-Gyro + 3-Gsensor USB Wireless Receiver im new to tv boxs what all will i need to add? or do to it.

I have a Sony X850C 65" 4K TV, and I have set it up with Kodi to stream stuff from my pc to the tv. When I play 4K videos on Youtube, playback is smooth and clear. When I stream 4K movies from my PC to Kodi, the playback is very stuttery, but after some digging around I found out its just a Kodi problem, and playing the same files through the Android TV VLC app is crystal clear and smooth. BUT, if I transfer any 4K video onto a USB drive and then plug it into the tv and play it through VLC, the playback is absolutely terrible. Audio is fine, but video becomes a slideshow, or just a still picture that doesnt move. I've tried disabling hardware accelaration but it doesn't fix the problem.

I find this confusing, shouldn't the playback directly from a USB be even smoother and faster than streamed content ? I tried the USB thing because my ISP has been having some trouble the past month and buffering is a real pain...

Just got x83 Sony TV, and it came with standart remote, if I understand correctly voice control is out of the question, if I dont get that cool smart remote, and I cant find any way to control it with my iDevices, is there any?

I have read that you can download some jailbreak tweak to use your iDevice as bluetooth keyboard/mouse, but I would like to use that voice search feature too, any suggestions?

We've installed the google korean input app in our android tv because we need to perform some searches in korean. But now we cannot choose that language in the keyboard, still the default ones only.

The app itself doesnt give you any options. Have you got any experience on this?

Is there a network test you can use with the shield tv other than the nvidia test?

I read a post about using quicast to test but I have an iPhone not an android.

What are your thoughts on Android TV so far? How's the apps crashing issues, lags etc been after Sony updated the TV's firmware?

Should I get an Android TV or just go with a Smart TV OS?

In other words, can you use it to play other games/emulators?

I've got a Sony Bravia running Android, and I didn't realize it had it's own sandboxed version of Google play store, which doesn't include apps for Shomi or CraveTV.

Is there a way to get apps from google play store that aren't specifically for Android TV?

Have channel 5 blocked the app from working? I have it sideboard on my shield and it worked fine but tonight all I'm getting is audio and no picture.

As a recent cord cutter I'm very interested in the 'Live Channels' app and it's integrated program guide. I know that Pluto TV and the HDHomerun apps work with 'Live Channels', but is there a list of other apps that integrate with it?

I am looking for a media streaming stick or device that connects to your tv via hdmi that can transmit audio through a remote or your smartphone (if that's possible), similar to the roku 3. However, I am looking for it to be android app compatible. I have seen some android-based media sticks online with Bluetooth, but I believe that would not allow me to connect headphones to those devices (I am looking to connect either hardwire or Bluetooth headphones). As the title says I'm trying to pick up a TV Box on a tight budget. So there's a few factors that effect price, I most likely couldn't afford a box with all of them so should I prioritise having:

• 5.1 Lollipop over 4.4 KitKat
• 2GB RAM over 1GB RAM
• Octacore GPU over Quad-core GPU

Going into it I imagined that the RAM is the most important factor and that the others won't have too much of an effect (it won't be used for gaming) but for general streaming apps & Kodi, what would be the most important factors for /r/AndroidTV?

Can you still perform in-app purchases in Android TV? For example, buying items/DLC for games?

If so, have you used it somewhere in the past? Does it still make sense on the TV?
