I just picked up my Shield TV today, and I love it. I do have a few questions regarding Dolphin Emulator. I can't get any game to actually be playable. I searched and found a thread about 6 months ago, but time could have different results. Has anyone found any optimal settings, a different application version, or an entirely new gamecube emulator? Also, any recommendations on apps or other emulators?

Edit: Got some games to run, but I can't exit or save them.

Hi, I have 49pus7150/12 tv and it has android 5.1 installed. I am wondering how to mirror my PC screen without hdmi.

Last I heard it was likely going to be before the end of the year, well that is starting to pass and it is nowhere to be seen. Just wondering if anyone has heard anything.

I've done much searching and many downloads to no avail so I figure I'll just ask the sub.

I'm using a Galaxy Tab 4 on 4.4.2 and I have an XBR-850C Sony TV with Android 5.0 installed. What I'd like is universal mirroring from the tablet to the TV, any app, the home screen, everything, regardless of content restrictions.

The tablet is not rooted although I'm in the process of doing that (looking for the appropriate tool/guide if anyone can help with that I'd also appreciate it) so if that's the only resolution you know of, I'll take that as well.

Hi! Bought a secondary TV after Christmas and it happened to run Android TV. Have a third party ps3 controller with a USB dongle that just gathers dust, so I plugged it in. Works fine, I thought at first. The left stick and left buttons for movement works, but every other button is unmapped and results in being counted as OK.

Tried connecting a ps4 controller with the same results.

How can I configure the mapping to work?

Also, retroarch freeze after being loaded so I'm seeing the menu but it doesn't respond to any keyless, not from the remote, the gamepads or my Bluetooth keyboard.

Anyone ideas on how to fix it?

Where'd they go? i had my shield tv just how i liked it, got an update and the "default launcher" setting is gone. now im stuck with leanback and the green mist. lame.

Is anyone else concerned that most consumers can't seem to tell the difference between an AndroidTV box, and a box that runs android that you plug into your tv?

I have had to correct folks a few times on the G+ forums for construing the cheap Chinese boxes as AndroidTV. We have also had a few cases in here where people have thought that they have an AndroidTV box when they do not.

Is anyone else annoyed by this? Or am I just being a pedant? In the long run I see it harming the AndroidTV brand and it confuses the hell out of the consumer.

I've been looking for a list providing all or as many apps as possible that will feed into the live channels app, if anyone has one please share, otherwise let's start it.

HDHomeRun View - If you have the HDHomeRun, this is a must have app, and the Live Channels integration is great.

Cumulus TV - Nice, generic tool for creating your own channels from HLS streams

Dvblink live - allows you to import your channels from a dvblink server. "It's still in beta but works well with nexus player, no EPG on my shield yet but that seems to be down to it not running marshmallow."

I'd like to see more flexibility with ordering the live channels.

So, I have that box and I've had it for a while. It was good at the time but now over time i noticed their isn't any custom support but for a finless rom. No 5.0 or anything else that I know of. Anybody have one or have a custom modded os? Maybe for linux or something

Yo, does anyone know of any ways to listen to music while streaming games from PC on the SHIELD TV (or any Android TV device if relevant)? The GameStream app mutes all audio on the device other than the game, as well as anything that's not part of the game you're running on PC, so I figured maybe Steam music would work if you launched Steam and your game through big picture mode. Nope. The audio just doesn't play on the Android TV device, but does on the PC. Is there any workaround to this, or another way entirely to play music while gaming?

I just spent my XMAS Amazon gift certificate on a Minix Neo X8H Plus. It's an upgrade from a bunch of stuff that half-works (FireTV stick with Kodi, slow Roku). It should arrive just in time to mess around on New Years Eve.

The plan so far is to install Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Kodi, Plex, and replace the launcher (with what I don't know yet).

I'm looking for inspriation for what else I should think about installing on it. Emulators, games, communication, screensavers (do they even exist?), etc. What do you have on your Android TV?

Hey guys, I'm looking to get something on my shield tv that I can transfer my photo's from my iphone (sorry) to my shield.. Maybe something like google drive would be great?

If so how I do go about getting the apk's? And would it require sideloading?

As a new owner of an Nvidia SHIELD Android TV and a very expensive Workstation PC you can imagine I would want to utilize gamestream. Of course, as fate would have it, I have used AMD Cards for several generations now. I wasn't too fussed about this, I bought the SHIELD Android TV for the 4k output, Netflix, Kodi and Plex support. I figured, come next time for a GPU upgrade I will see what Nvidia offers to fill my needs...

Fast forward to the App Remotr, I have used things like splashtop in the past and although novel I always felt the inconsistency made it not a serious option. I installed the Client and Server side of Remotr last night after hearing about it. I have used a Nvidia GTX 770 to gamestream officially before to the android TV, and my experience with Remotr was damn near identical. It even has options for GPU Accel on AMD and Nvidia on the server side. Either way, I was extremely surprised.

Now the YMMV part. I have a high end PC and both devices are wired through a gigabit infrastructure. I wouldn't doubt that gamestream would be more forgiving in less than ideal circumstances, but it allows me to "gamestream" with the hardware I already have.

As the title states, I just got a brand new Sony 55'' 3D Smart LED-TV KD-55X8505CBAE, and I found out that you can download NES and SNES emulators for it, so I wanted to try it out. Put a bunch of roms on a USB flash drive, stuck it in the USB port, but now I have no idea where to find it when searching in the app. Can someone help me out?

I plan to buy a shield tv once I get the amount of money in my hand, but I noticed the GeForce Now, Android TV, and android games on sale now. Is there anyway to purchase them ahead of actually owning it?

So I was planning on getting myself an Nvidia Shield as an android TV, but the only reviews I could find are old (I'm talking about release time old) and they all said that apps like Netflix and Hulu are not available on the device.

Since those were all super old, I was wondering if people who own it could tell me if it's available on the device yet or not.

My parents have an Sony Android TV and one of the things I've noticed is that you have to buy a separate remote control if you want to use voice search.

Is there not an app I can download onto their iphones that would let me use voice search from there?
