Is it just me or has the frequency of ADs on the Youtube Android TV App drastically increased over the last while?

Increase in ADs in the beginning and during videos, Increase in unskippable ADs, Increase in back-to-back Ads.

It's to the point it's become unwatchable on the TV, I am thinking of maybe giving SmartTubeNext a try.

I'm using a Spigen 45w USB charger with an Anker 7 in 1 USB hub with all appropriate USB cables.

The Google TV is working fine, but it's not seeing the camera or the two thumb drives that I tried. The lights flash, and the Sandisk one just says this device is safe to eject but I cannot click anywhere. The lights are on on both flash drives; so the hub is delivering power.

Is there an option in the dev settings I am missing maybe?

Help me understand here. Why can't I use bluetooth to remote my MiBox using google home? It works with Google TV app but you can't do bluetooth remotes with Home app?

But no matter what usb or SD card I had use, the Chromecast see the device, formats it, but will not use it, had tried different power supplies but same result

I guess the question is if you can install the Patreon app or watch through a browser on Google TV? I've been watching via AirPlay from my phone but it keeps crashing and disconnecting so I'm looking for another solution (and yes I have dedicated several hours to troubleshooting without success).

If no, are there any other solutions that might work? I've been thinking of buying Google TV anyways, is it worth it?

I am working at a school.

We have TV's for presentations which are done on PowerPoint. They run on a windows 98 computer and PowerPoint 2006.

We are trying to update the systems to be able to run a more modern system. One of the ways we are considering would be to cast to an android tv. The issue is, how would we make it cast and slide automatically? is there software that can do this for free? we can't afford monthly or yearly subscriptions so if there is a one time payment system or free way of doing it, we would love to hear it.

It would also have to be done securely so no student can cast to it how they want

I'm really confused and curious. I've just had a TCL android tv for about one and half year hanging in the dinning room, the picture looks great but the performance is subpar, it's super slow, frequently reboots itself, etc. On the other hand, my new Google chrome works seamlessly on another TV. However, I still hesitate to replace it as it's still relatively new. But just for the better experience on chrome I wonder if it will be worth to replace it with a Google TV?

We recently upgraded our living room TV from a Chromecast Ultra to a Chromecast 4K with Google TV.

When trying various Assistant commands on the rest of our Google Home devices targeting the new Google TV device (named Living Room TV), it always understands the command, and then says "Sorry, I don't understand." I can look in my Google Home history and I know it understood it correctly.

For example: "Play Seinfeld from Netflix on Living Room TV," has been a command we were always able to successfully use with the old Ultra. Now, it says "Okay, playing Seinfeld from Netflix on Living Room TV. (pause) Sorry, I don't understand."

The same command works just fine when I try to play it on any other Chromecast in the house (bedroom TV, Hub Max, etc). It's specifically only having issues on this Google TV device.

I tried changing the name of the Google TV device in case it was somehow conflicting with the old Chromecast, but it still doesn't work.

Anyone know what gives? I've rebooted (but not removed/re-added) this and all other Chromecast and Home devices.

It's just gotten worse and worse for me, everytime I watch a simple YouTube video, after about 5 minutes the remote becomes unresponsive and then unpairs with the box, then when I try to pair it again using the button on the box, the pairing screen will flicker between prepare and connecting but will never connect.

Once I unplug the box for a few minutes and plug it back in, then it will pair again but then the same thing will happen when I watch a video. I've heard it's an issue with the box "overheating" but even with all the updates installed it won't fix the problem.

In a bid to solve some user issues and keep it to one remote... I setup the ONN 2160p box to control the TV..

OK.. That works great...

But NOW how do you turn the Onn box off? Ok, its really put to sleep??? ???

I did setup the screensaver and set it to "sleep" after 30 min inactivity, but I'd like to have a button turn "off" the box.

Is this inactivity mode now the only option once the button is set for a TV????

No mention of changes listed yet for this latest version but I noticed timeshift toggle in setting a removed, seems to be left on by default. Pause/rewind working all the time now. From the beginning, my Tivo Stream 4k would not turn off when I pressed the power button on the remote. I got around this by using the voice command "Turn off Tivo." There would be a response like, "Ok, turning off Tivo Stream 4k."

Now when I give the voice command, I get the response, but it does not actually turn off. I have it plugged into a power strip so I have been turning it off that way, but would rather shut it down properly.

Any advice?

Yesterday I had to reset my android TV. Now the screen is stuck at remote pairing and i can't bypass this screen. My original remote isn't working so I was using similar (not original) remote and it can't pair with TV.

I can switch off/on tv and volume +- is also working. Can anyone help .

I'm I missing something? When I want to add another profile on my Google TV, I can only see the option to add a kid.When I click the Manage accounts section, I can see the option to add account. When I add that account, I can't switch profiles like one would on Netflix or YouTube TV.

Edit: I can only swap like this with the kid's account. Now I'm even realising I can't sign in another account on YouTube. When I click the switch accounts option, I'm taken back to the 'choose an account' section and it's impossible to even choose that other account to sign in with on YouTube.

I buyed a Philips 50pfk6510/12 android tv. But i cant login to Google Account it says the passwort and Account not mached. On other Devices i can login normal. I Tried 2 way verification but dont work. Have someone a issue? I think the Google Services need a Update But how i can install apk?

I have a Sony HT-S20R sound system. It's connected to my TV using HDMI ARC. My TV is the latest (QLED with support for HDMI ARC and Google TV as OS).

But when I increase the volume using the TV remote, it changes the volume but doesn't show the current volume level which is very annoying.

Any solution for it? Both support S/PDIF Optical. Is it better and can solve the problem?
