It seems to be needed to get prime video working on tv boxes. I got a mecool m8s pro l and I want to get that app running - so is there a way to get drm windows playready?

I have problems on my 2 mi boxes I did format USB as internal storage and when i tried to open it with es files i got massage USB removed. If i am not trying to get to the USB with ex files than after some time its also get removed

I'm using the Jetstream AndroidTV box and trying a trial of Nitro IPTV. But the issue I'm having is when I change to volume using the remote it shows the box volume changing but doesn't change the IPTV client (in this case ZalTV) volume. I know some of the Chinese Android boxes (one I have runs official AndroidTV) that just run modified Android have a different volume buttons on the remote. What can I can?

I have successfully used the device "Telkom" with model "TVB-100" with my Jetstream. The Telkom device is based on the SDMC DV8219 which is similar to the SDMC DV8235 that the Jetstream is based on.

I have also taught the harmony remote the Netflix, YouTube and Google Play keys since the remote has a IR blaster.

Power button also works.

I am using an IR harmony remote, not a hub.

I am trying to connect Mi Box to a projector but when I switch to HDMI the screen size changes to full screen and its too big.. It only let me zoom out to 80% and I need much more.. Any ideas how to fix it?

Hi, So I just got a Xiaomi Mi Box 4K. No updates, since these are held back by Xiaomi currently. The box is connected to my amplifier by the SPDI (optical). I use the 1080p resolution (no 4K tv).

The problem is that the sound in Netflix always lags behind the picture. Sometimes by 0,5s other times by probably around 0,2s. This makes the Mi Box effectively unusable for me.

I tried rebooting several times. Tried the HDMI "Best framerate" fix. I'm a bit afraid of updating the box manually, as I hear the updates break more stuff than they fix.

I'd be grateful for any fixes or ideas.

Trying to watch local elections but can't cause have only internet and mi box.

My household was 3 mibox 3 units for streaming. One with a USB wired Ethernet adapter. Of course, all three tanked, and I revived them several times. I chose the Jetstream as an equivalent replacement.

I'm not asking much of my boxes, so I'm not willing to go with a shield.

I have 2 Jetstream boxes running on wired internet, and they simply do what I needed them to do, be like the miboxes in functionality. They are accomplishing that goal.

I can't speak for the WiFi as I'm lucky enough that the builder ran Cat5e in my house and I built a proper network.

I haven't had to pull the power cable on either box, and haven't discovered any bugs that stand out. However, I'm used to Android TV and may overlook small nags.

The purpose of this quick message is to give someone on the fence about using the Jetstream as a stand in for their melt down mibox info they likely will be satisfied. At least, that's my impression after 2 weeks.

I have a question:

I have a new TCL55CU2S (UHD HDR) TV which is connected to my 1 Gbps router and Windows Home Server (HP G8 Microserver as a NAS). When loading videos/movies off the server (either SMB or NFS), I am getting lots of bufferring issues - every 1-2 minutes it stutters, lags or rebuffers. This happens irrespective of whether I use Kodi or VLC for playing the file. It's as if the TV (which has a quad core processor) is over utilised - sometimes I notice system lag.

When these issues occur, the WHS is not doing any other job (and I've checked - the CPU and Network utiliisation is low).

In short, I am fairly sure this is not a network throughput issue, but more likely a buggy OS or secondary app issue. That said, I have only just reset the whole TV to default to overcome the possibility that a sideloaded app was taxing the CPU - now it's just a cleanskin on TCLs install (which naturally contains a certain level of crapware).

Can you give me any tips on how I might start to troubleshoot this issue?

Hi all. Few problems with a new Sony Bravia TV. It has built in Chromecast and I can ping YouTube and videos on to it easily from my Samsung phone. However, if I try to rename it or change some settings it states " cannot connect to Android TV". Alongside this, my wife has an iPhone, I have linked his to the set up etc and it detects the Chromecast but when I mirror the screen, the TV screen shows the Chromecast icon but does not progress any further. The phone screen shows that it is connected and apparently playing on the TV.

Any advice is welcome. I have even looked for a way to just reboot the Chromecast (as this normally fixed these sorts of issues with the plug in version). I have tried unplugging tv and restarting it. I have checked all of the firmware etc is up to date. I have also redone all of the Wi-Fi signals and settings etc.

I need to get an Android TV for my bedroom. The thing is, i need a remote control that doesn't have loud ass clicks( don't want to wake up my wife). I'm looking at the new mibox and jetstream. Do either of these have quiet remotes?

Basically I'm assuming the security fixes that disabled smb1 on freenas / smbd broke the shield. The shares work on every other Linux / window pc /android in the house

How have people fixed this issue?

Does anyone know how to install Amazon Music on a Sony’s Android TV? I have a Sony (XBR65X900E) Android TV. There's a Amazon Prime Video App from the Google Play store, but not an Amazon Music App that works on an Android TV.
