self explanitory, how do you play mcpe (full version, bedrock) on a mi box 3?

Looking for a box to run basically Netflix and Kodi in a stable manner - (minimal app or network issues - on a 1080p screen (haven't got 4K yet).

In a choice between the Mi Box 4K or the Amazon Fire TV (not the stick, which i gather is weaker hardware), which would you folks recommend?

Edit: To clarify, I wasn't referring to the new 4k stick - that's not available to me at the moment where I am abroad (Amazon won't ship it, can't get it locally)

I'm somewhat invested in the Android ecosystem with my family having Android phones, I'm using TV's with Android TV, boxes like Xiaomi Mi and have ordered an Nvidia Shield, having several Google Home Mini's etc.

But what I'm missing from Android is a way to control my Android TV experience in a way similar to Apple's "Apple TV App".

I haven't used it, but it seems to be a great way to quickly find the content I want and also being able to kind of use a tablet as a great remote.

The way I interpret it is that there's one app that I can use to, for example, search for a movie, the app will find it on one of my on-demand services and I can start playing it on my TV from there.

I don't want to have to open five apps and search for a movie five times before being able to watch it.

Since the firmware update I recibed a few months ago (to android 7) in my Sony 50w800, I can't play videos on Youtube and Netflix, the sound starts but screen is freezed. I did a factory reset, clear data and cache of both apps, but nothing. I installed an older version of netflix but nothing either

Any idea?

I recall reading/hearing that in some reputable outlet's news article from I/O - but I haven't heard anything since in terms of updates and/or delays. And I could be wrong but I think it's past October...

I haven't yet seen anyone mention getting a USB Tuner to work with Live Channels on the Jetstream, so I decided to give it a try myself.

I have tried both AVerMedia AVerTV Volar Hybrid Q and Hauppauge Digital TV Tuner for Xbox One and had the same issues with both.

1. First, a reboot was required after plugging it in before it was recognized.
2. Live Channel prompts to setup the "USB Tuner", but the setup process lists it as a "Network Tuner".
3. After providing my zipcode and selecting source type (Antenna), it immediately provides an error saying "TV Tuner not available or is being used by recording"

I also noticed that if I unplug the tuner after it is recognized, it is rarely ever recognized again. Usually requires multiple reboots and uninstalling Live Channel updates, and updating it again before it is on the Sources list.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips?

I've had these boxes for 2 years with no problems. The one hangs at the Mi screen, the other hangs at the colored Android screen after.

Is it possible some sort of update was applied that bricked these boxes?

This app seems to be a version 1.0. it is optimized for recommendations rather than browsing or discovery.

The interface is inconsistent when displaying video info (i.e. sometimes it displays the video date sometimes the view count). Mainly what I'd like to be able to see is video descriptions. This would also include possible links to other YouTube videos that are reference within the deacription. Basic information and UI found on the web version is what I'm looking for.

Are there alternatives to YouTube for Android TV?

Hey guys, my internet provider does not support netflix and right now I'm using VPN to play netflix from my PC. I'm planning to buy Mi Box S (2018 version) which said support netflix, but again, my internet provider does not support it.

Is there anyway to bypass the 'block' so I can play netflix on MiBox S?

I've been looking around this sub for tips, as I'm getting fed up by the BT remote that won't work properly after several hours of sleep. I live in a place where amazon doesn't ship, so I'm looking to china for my next remote.

I don't care about Air Mouse capability, nor voice commands really. I want to control the mi box, volume, and to turn it to standby and on again easily. From what I can see, the Wechip can do that easily over 2.4G, it also has a nice keyboard on the back.

What do you guys think? Are there better alternatives in that price range (10-15$)?

My Mi box was working fine until few days ago it boots up to the logo screen and doesn't budge. I've tried a reset via Center button + Left arrow when plugging power in but no avail. I also know this is one of the ways to reboot and reload firmware on the mi box but it seems like the remote pretty much does nothing. I attached a keyboard via usb hub also but while the hub had visible power, the keyboard did not function in anyway. Any other tips or is my mi box bricked?

Hello everyone, maybe someone here is familiar with Android TVs. I have BBK 55LEX-6039/UTS2C which is running on Android 6.0. I mostly use it as PC monitor to watch movies or play casual games, but occasionally I also watch some YouTube and Twitch on the TV itself, even more rarely I use it as a TV.

Now the the issue itself. The issue is that I couldn't find a way to turn off notifications from apps like YouTube, Twitch (about new and features videos and streams) and Google Play. They just pop-up whenever they like and distract me from whatever I'm doing. There was nothing I could find on system settings or app settings to modify that behavior. Note that Android TV apps are different from normal Android apps and they don't have all the settings that normal app has.

Does anyone know a way to get rid of those notifications?

Based in the UK. Is there one device that can have Amazon TV, Netflix, Now TV, Kodi, youtube, Android emulators all in one place that run well with option of a wireless controller?

Would also like Itunes/Apple music as well but assuming that'll be impossible due to Apples restrictions.

I bought my 55" Sony Bravia x930e at the beginning of this week and love it. I am pretty interwined in Google's "Ecosystem" with 4 Google Homes, a Pixel phone, a chromecast on another tv, etc. so the appeal for an AndroidTV was there. For the first several days I was able to turn on/off the TV using Google Assistant (either with a Google Home or my phone) flawlessly and it worked beautifully! But this morning I had to unlink/relink the Bravia from my Home account for unrelated troubleshooting reasons and now I can not turn the tv on/off remotely with Google Assistant anymore. When I give the command Google acknowledges it but does nothing. But strangely enough if I tell the the assistant to play something when it is off it will turn on and play said thing. I am trying to figure out how to get this feature back. I made sure the tv was up to date and that Bravia Sync (which I believe to be the HDMI-CEC toggle) is on. Any ideas??

Upgraded Nexus Player to Ematic AGT418 (AKA Jetstream 4k Android TV Box) and I'm noticing a lot of jagged edges when playing back DVD rips (direct play). On same TV/receiver my Xbox One does not have this issue. Also, Nexus Player did not have this issue.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? Could it be an issue with the current version of the Plex ATV app?

Hi, first time AndroidTV user with a MI 4. I’m trying to use my wireless mouse and it worked the first time. Next day, it doesn’t work.

I also use Cetus, and that stops working and I have to restart the box to get it to work.

Q’s: I’ve side loaded apps (install through apk on usb) why don’t they show up in apps? Do apps remain alive in the background or are they killed after an amount of inactivity?

Some additional notes: I have both direct tv and xfinity logins and many apps don’t support those providers, what a headache! If anyone knows any apps that support these accounts, please share!

Hi, i just ordered my mibox and it should arrive in the next few days. i've seen alot of complaints about bugs and issues coming from users that are on latest builds. now, i am worried to upgrade it to android 8.0.

Should i just keep it on MM 6 ? Is there a future 8.1 update (since the Mibox s is here)?
