Any update on the timeline for Nougat update. Elsewhere here as well as on Twitter it was Q1 of 2017. Is there a closed/open beta? JW.

ASUS TV500BG Wireless Game Controller and Nvidia Shield

I am a casual gamer and sometimes I like to game with friends - so as an impulse buy I puchased 3 of the Asus TV500BG Controllers for $15 each. I hope they are compatible with the NVIDIA shield, does anyone have experience with them?

Does anyone know how to disable subtitles on PuppetMaster.TV?

I only use it for the CBC add-on. Is there a way to turn it off or should I just use a Kodi add-on for my CBC viewing.

Rayman Adventures available for Nvidia Shield (and other Android TV boxes?)

Been monitoring this game since it came out in the end of 2015, and now I can suddenly install it to my Nvidia Shield. Not at home, so I can't confirm it works though. Does it work for anyone else?

Love these Rayman games. This game looks and plays even better than the others, though relatively aggressive IAP drags it down a bit. Still a lovely game to play on the big screen.

Will SPMC be updated to Krypton?

I'm running my personal build on Kodi 17 on my firestick and would love to use it on SPMC. But the build will not work when downgrading to Jarvis. Instead of installing SPMC and starting my setup from scratch, I was wondering if the author of SPMC will be upgrading the fork to Krypton.

Hi, All of a sudden out of the blue my action menu has decided to not work. Any time within any app if I try press it , it will crash and say "action menu has stopped" In apps,running app, I cleared it's cache and force closed it then rebooted to no avail. Any help ?

Has anyone figured out a way to play 3D bluray remuxes on Sony 3D TVs?

I'm not talking about the side by side or over under.

I try playing it through the videos app and it just malfunctions completely, with the output to one of the eyes messed up.

Harmony Hub Remote with Nexus Player

When I press the OK button on my harmony remote it pops up the Trash icon trying to delete the app. If I use the software remote via the harmony app it does not do this. Anybody know a fix for this?

Mi Box and Mini Keyboard Remotes Issues?

Does anybody else have the issue where cheap Chinese OEM mini keyboards aren't being recognized when you plug them into a Mi Box?

I ordered something similar to this and it isn't being recognized. I was able to plug it right into a Fire TV and my PC and it worked instantly with no issues, but not the case with my Mi Box. Any alternatives to a remote like this would be great it.

MI-Box Best Display Settings?

Hey folks, was recommended a MiBox in here few weeks ago and haven't been disappointed, thanks.

Was looking to know what you all are using for display resolution.

Reason I ask is, when watching netflix, if I leave my display settings to auto, Netflix plays at 1080p/60hz

I do have a 4k HDR TV, Samsung JS9000.

When I change the display settings to 4k/24hz on the MiBox. Netflix comes through at 3840x2160...and plays smoothly

Is there a reason the auto wouldn't detect this? Should I simply leave it at 4k?

Which mi box to get MDZ 18AA,MDZ 16AA or MDZ 16AB?

Hello, mdz 18 aa is more powerful and as i know i can install english language and google apk.But not sure if we can run 4k netflix.On the other hand there are 2 more devices mdz16aa and 16ab(global version) They are less powerful but has 6.0 .I wonder 16aa and 16ab same device ?And if i install english language to 16aa.Can they both run 4k netflix?

3D decoder on Sony android TV

Is there any way to use the decoder for third party apps like MX player or Kodi. At the moment the 3D decoder option only comes up when I use the native 'videos' app.

Anybody having problem with the Twitch app (source quality not appearing)

I'm using the twitch app on my sony atv, I noticed that some streams like Summit1g have only up to high quality. Other streams have source quality however, it's random. Also if I watch the same summit's stream on my android tablet or on windows there is source quality inside the video options, so it's definetely an Atv's problem. Any idea how to fix this bug?

Gamesome vs Nostalgia vs Arc Browser. Which frontend do you use and why?

I have a GPD XD loaded with over 50gb of roms/emulators. I use Nostalgia on it because it runs very well. I recently bought a MiBox3 and can't decide which frontend to use. I tried arc browser, but the cache for some reason after scanning all the roms, was huge (Can the cache be set to use the ext usb?). I was wondering what your opinions are on the 3 frontends and which one you use/prefer for an Android TV.

[Mi Box] How to connect ADB over wifi?

Following other instructions, I have:

  • Unhidden the Developer options by clicking ok multiple times on 'About' in Settings.
  • Enabled USB debugging under Developer options>Dubugging

Some instructions say there should be an option to enable ADB specifically (which I don't see), others mention that enabling USB Debugging also enables ADB and it should work over wifi.

Under Wifi settings, my local IP is listed as 192.168.0.170

When I try to connect with ADB

    adb connect 192.168.0.170

I get:

'unable to connect to 192.168.0.170:5555'

Connecting to my phone using ADB works fine so it doesn't seem like an issue on my computer's end.

Check for existing Android TV apps?

I'm STRONGLY considering cutting my cable within the next few months and based off of individual research, I believe I will be purchasing a Nvidia Shield in the coming weeks.

However, I was wondering if there is a site online to where I could check for existing Android TV apps? Also, can I download normal android apps on the Shield TV or do they have to be Android TV apps?

For instance, I'm looking for things like WATCHespn, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, SHO anytime, MAX go, STARS, HBOgo etc.

How can I check to see if these apps exist inside of the Android TV store?

kodi is cool but i like the live tv feel of plutoTV. are there any better apps that have the same set up but offer more content??
