I am considering upgrading my NextPVR software, but I can't seem to find what version I am currently running.

Everything seems to work well except when I watch through Kodi and want to pause/play live tv - then I get lots of stuttering. I was trying to figure out if an update would help that.

The version on the .exe file is 1.0.0 - that can't be right.

Usually there is a help menu with an About NextPVR option. Can't find it anywhere.

I have a brand new X850d. The casting functionality was working perfectly fine until today, when it stopped working for all apps (Netflix, YouTube, Plex) except for Hulu. I did a power cycle on the TV, as well as a factory reset, and still YouTube does not cast from my phone. I can play YouTube just fine from the TV itself, but when I try to cast from my phone, it just says connecting forever and nothing happens. Any ideas?

It appears as if my mibox remote loses connection when my mibox goes to sleep. Anyone have this problem?

I am trying to tweak my download speed on my TP Link Archer C7. I upgraded the firmware, tweaked the MTU (1492). Getting 64 Mbps down 25 Mbps up on the other side of the house using 5ghz WiFi on my laptop.

I have a mi box halfway between the laptop and the router and I am testing speed with speedof.me using a browser getting at best 10 Mbps/6 Mbps at best on 5 ghz.

I rebooted the Mi and the router multiple times turning on and off WMM. With WMM off, the laptop speeds decreased dramatically (23/15).

I'm wondering if the readings on the Mi box are accurate, otherwise what else could explain such a difference?

Im running Kodi on an Xiaomi Mi Box. My Monitor doesnt support HDMI so I have a DVI adapter which is working fine for video. My AV receiver supports DD 5.1 (and other sources such as Tivo are playing fine in 5.1). I was only able to get the L R lights to light on the receiver using the optical out on the Mi Box and after doing some searching it looks like others were having the same problem from the optical out.

The Mi Box says that it supports 5.1 audio so I purchased a HDMI audio extractor that says it outputs 5.1 through the toslink port on the extractor. I am getting the same results with or without the extractor.

I have tried all of the audio setting in the Mi Box audio settings (auto, PCM, HDMI, SPDIF) and tried different things in Kodi under System / Audio (with expert mode enabled).

Im not sure if youtube which I tried as a stand-alone app and also as a Kodi video add-on, even though they say 5.1 audio will really output in 5.1.

I have also tried playing a local 5.1 test file I have through Kodi and while playing it Kodi says it is 5.1 (dont know if that icon above the video scrubber really is accurate or not).

I need someone to confirm a true source of 5.1 I can use to test
I need a recommendation on the correct Kodi audio settings for 5.1
Any ideas or suggestions why I cant get this to work

Hey, so I'm not sure if this is the proper place for this but i thought i'd try, if it's not that's fine.

I have a Phillips 4K smart TV with android on it and I've been having issues with internet speed on it, it has been frustrating me for a few weeks now.

If i run an internet speed test on my phone right now i get about 30Mbit down per second over Wifi. It should be plenty enough to watch Netflix and YouTube at 4k resolution i'd say. But on both the YouTube and Netflix apps on the TV if i activate the info and the statistics for nerds thing it says that the bandwidth for watching is about 5Mbit down, and the resolution is stuck at 1080, And this is with the TV connected through Ethernet.

Weird thing is though, if i use my phone and launch a video on YouTube through Google Cast i get 4K every time, though the statistics tab doesn't work for this so i can't say what's different.

So i was wondering if there's anyone who has any experience or suggestions with this. Is there anything i can do short of paying for faster internet?

Don't get me wrong 1080 is fine, it's just that i don't feel like I'm getting my moneys worth.

I'm using an Shield TV (2017) with HDHomeRun Prime (using native functionality - not the HDHR Record App) and Comcast and all of the logos are not assigned to the proper channels. The logos are of channels that I do not even subscribe to and there doesn't appear to be any pattern. I've tried reinstalling the app, rescanning for channels, and clearing data/cache from the app to no avail. Any ideas?

Any idea please? I just bought it and I've tried changing the batteries and nothing will work. I can't use the phone app as to complete device setup the remote must be paired. I don't know what to do; I literally bought a brand new, broken device.

Wondering if the new update to the NBC sports app ruined the casting function. I can cast YouTube videos easily, but when I try to cast anything from the NBC sports app my TV will show the NBC logo, load for about three seconds then go black and then disconnect from the TV.

I'm using a MiBox and an iPhone for casting.

What is the best web browser for Android TV (for Mi Box to be exact)?

That it is usable by remote control (designed for TV use), and with ad blocker. Exists?

My Nexus Players are not enrolled in the beta program - so this is the stable/RTM release. Downloading as I type this.

Quite recently my Nexus Player has been disconnecting every time I press play for any title on Netflix. Pretty much every other app works... I've tried deleting and downloading Netflix, same issue, then I reset the device.. same issue. Anyone else have an issue?

I'd like to watch TV on my phone while I'm in bed and the Android TV stands in the next room.

I updated my Sony 4K Android TV and now the sound coming out of the 3.5mm jack is muffled. It sounds like just the low end/bass audio. I've tried changing every audio setting. I can't use my speakers now. They work fine with other sources and the tv built in speakers work. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I still have the "Update Software" notice saying that one is coming but it's been that way for months..

I've noticed a trend on my Shield TV since I have hooked it to a Vizio 50" 4k set (p502ui-b1). 1/3-1/2 of the time if the shield is asleep and I pick up the remote and press a button to wake it... I see the TV turn on, the shield green light shows on the unit, but the display never comes up. I have to unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back in to get it to display on screen. I have tried a few different HDMI cables and even tried different HDMI ports, tried changing to 1080p and so on. I'm not sure if it just something with this 4k set or what but didn't know if anyone else had seen this. I'd try this out for an extended time on my 60" Samsung but I don't feel like dragging it over to my fiancees house just yet lol

Does anyone else have issues streaming to a shield? The video plays fine, but I don't have any sound. I am able to stream other games and steam without issues.

I live in Canada so a decent chunk of Youtube videos from the US are blocked. On a computer, I can simply use YouPak.com or EachVideo.com to view blocked videos, but I can't seem to find a way to do it on Android TV without using an actual VPN service.

Does anyone know of an app or another method other than paying for a VPN service to be able to access geo-restricted youtube videos?
