Is there a way to copy the files exactly as is to a larger 256 flash drive so I can use that larger one as the main drive on the Nexus Player

UPDATE: I think Im going to go with a SeaGate Wireless TB Drive. There is an Android TV app called Seagate Media Receiver that allows you to access movies, photos and movies off of it. Has anyone used it?

Does anyone have an idea how to do it? Want to use the nexus player wallpaper instead

I'm new to the game and am having a tough time getting Showbox to work on my Nvidia shield. Do I need a separate mouse to get it working? I have a controller but when I try to navigate around the app, it doesn't do much. I can just move the selector around the filters but that's just it. I can get Showbox to scroll up and down through the listings but the selection highlighter doesn't move.

Do I need to get a mouse to use this? I also tried installing an older version but that gave me the same issues

I own the sony xbr55x810c with Android tv built in.

My dilemma - I am able install all emulator for old consoles, but cannot use my playstation 4 controller with the emulated games, however I am able to use the Playstation 4 controller to navigate the television like a regular remote control.

Any advice is greatly appreciated,

I'm looking for a way to log in and view my Android TV (nvidia Shield) remotely. Is there an app to enable VNC out there that anyone is aware of?

I have a sony bravia 43W805C and downloaded Firefox, chrome, flud apks but when i install them with es file Explorer it says it is installing and then nothing happens. Have the settings so you can install apk files Apks are from Google play store using addon on firefox/chrome on windows 7. Can this tv not sideload apps? It's android 5.1. Also checked with hal and sideload launcher the apps are not being installed they just say installing for maybe 1 sec then i see es file Explorer as if i never clicked on the apk. I also can't seem to use voice command, tv says listening but it is not recognizing my voice or any sound. Broken tv? Or things that the sony bravia 43W805C can't do :(?

I've seen Kodi mentioned on xda as a possible cause, and I do have that installed.

Anyone here with any experience with this issue? Or suggested troubleshooting tips?

I've had it since November, and its only started in the last 3 days...oddly, thats around the same time that I started setting up my Harmony remote and re-setting up Kodi on it.

(I've put the Harmony two rooms away just to make sure it wasn't sending signals, and its still happened a few times...its IR, so that should rule out that as a possible cause)

Hey everyone.

Almost all of the new Android TV devices that I see appearing on the market are TV's. While I do intend to get an Android powered TV next time I am in the market to upgrade, I was hoping to get a box in the mean time.

I tried out the Nexus Player, but I had a bunch of issues with audio, which other people online needed to have, so I returned it. The only other box I see that is popular is the NVIDIA Shield, but I really don't want to pay a load of money for a controller I will never use, and I have a Steam Link hooked up to the TV for streaming games.

Are there any more boxes on the way that I have missed? It just seems a bit... quiet.

It works... sometimes? Like, it feels like 50/50 chance evey time I try whether or not casting will work.

How is it for everyone else?

One thing about developing Androids apps is that you start collecting weird devices. Normal persons probably would not buy multiple devices of the same type..

The Nvidia Shield remote does not seem to work on the Fire TV stick.

I like having auto play, but the YouTube app only auto plays videos from the suggestions queue, not from the queue I selected. Is it possible to remove suggestions?

So currently, KOTOR and Goat Simulator are free on Amazon Underground so sideload, sign in, download and enjoy! Full leanback support as well on those two games. You can also nab JK2 and JK3 touch for less than a fiver, copy the games over from steam and have Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy on your Android TV.

Im a android tv box virgin. Got mine last night and having a hell of a time getting it to work. Ive downloaded and installed Kodi. Ive also watched a walk-through youtube video on how to properly install a source, unzip the contents etc etc. (Hope that even makes sense)
So as of right now, under videos in kodi I have genesis, stream all the sources, 1channel, icefilms and pheonix. I have no problem choosing something to watch, but cannot get it to play for the life of me. Ocassionally something will come up but buffer to no end and to no avail.

My android box had Netflix pre-installed, and it cannot even stream video from netflix without buffering forever..

My android box is directly connected with an ethernet cord. My android box is " android tv box KT-609" purchased from Visions Canada. OS is Kitkat. Quad core processor. My caches are not full, theyve been checked. I dont think my internet is slow because I have fine internet connection on my xbox one playing movies on Netflix.

Im at a loss...
