Today I updated the MLB.TV app on my Sony Android TV. It gets to the schedule but I can no longer watch live games or past games. I have tried resetting the app but get the same error about it being not connected to the network. All other apps work fine and my Roku plays the games just fine. Anyone else experience this after the update?

Getting ready to cancel dtv in a few days and am getting ready to order a nexus box but want to know where would be the best place to order it from? Thanks in advance.

Bought a Sony Bravia KDL-50W809C. The TV itself is fine, but android tv is very disappointing. The launcher specifically is rather useless:

• Recommendations bar sucks. I disabled all recommendations, but it still shows stuff. Can I completely disable it?
• Featured apps is useless and intrusive, basically ads for apps I don't want
• Then a non-customizable list of apps and inputs, which would be a lot of nicer if I could, you know, customize it

Is there a (non-risky) way to change the launcher to something else? Or other options for making the platform suck less without risking bricking the television?

Suddenly on my nexusplayer when I goto subscriptions its a column instead of a row and it looks really bad. Anyone else?

With Youtube Gaming being released today, I foolishly hoped AnrdoidTV would get the app. Anyone try sideloading yet? Speaking of, any news on HBO Now/Twitch?

Hey guys, I just got a Nexus Player and I really like it, but I am having an issue where every few minutes my audio cuts out for a about a second and a half.

I'm going from my Nexus Player to a Sony receiver and then to my TV.

I've googled around and some people seem to be having the same issue, but I can't seem to find a reason why or any kind of solution.

Any ideas?

Hi all, have any of you come across a way to get the AT&T U-Verse To-Go Android app onto a nexus player or specifically, the nvidia shield tv? was looking at picking up an nvidia shield tv soon, and that would be an incredible app to have working when you have a legit account to use with it. I had TVMC installed before, which I think was version 14.2, and never had an issue. I decided to update to the latest available from the Play store and now I get lockups constantly. I am very familiar with Kodi on Android, but am concerned that the version in the Play store is for Android Arm devices and not x86, which the Shield TV shows up as in Kodi settings.

So my question is, which version is everyone running smoothly? Should I just get the x86 Android version from the site and sideload it? Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks.

So I think I have decided to go with the nexus player. I'd like a shield but just can't afford it. That being said I'm reading reviews and seeing that storage USA major problem. Does the nexus support external HD storage? I'd like to be able to install apps to it. If not, does the new version of android that was just released support this?

As a side note, if it doesn't support external storage then how do you side load apps. The device is mainly going to be used for Kodi, but I'd like to have the option for other items as well.

I have an MXQ box with Android 4.4.2. I have a USB hub and some controllers from my original Xbox with USB adapters.

Is there an app that will help Android recognize one or more of these controllers and then be able to use them for Mame4droid?

I just bought a sony android tv and I am looking for a good way to watch content that is on my windows 7 pc. The only way I managed to do it is via windows media player but it is very buggy and windows media player does not support all formats. Is there a different way? To for example just browse folders that I share? Or maybe an app that can do that? VLC app does not seem to detect anything on my pc as it keeps saying "Directory is Empty". Any help would be truly appreciated. I would love to use the VLC app together with my pc is this possible?

Just wondering if anyone owns one of these yet? How are you liking it? Finally convinced the wife to cut the cord AGAIN but want to get something that can run kodi. Can run it from the pc but it's annoying not being able to use kodi and the TV at the same time.

Is the full play store available on it or can you at least side load apps?

Would you say it's probably the best out right now or would that be the shield? The shield is way out of my price range so other than the shield is it the best out right now.

I'm not super concerned about streaming apps as I have my xbox1 already. The main point is to be able to easily get live streams through kodi.

I have installed Android M on my Nexus Player. Love this box. It plays cable great through HD Homerun Prime. Plex works great.

I have a problem now that once I turn off my TV, when I turn it back on, the player isn't recognized and I have to do a hard restart. Any ideas of a fix?

I have a MXIV TV box, everything on it works fine accept this damn data consumption problem. It's all coming from Android os and its using 500 mb a day as of now. Anyone have a way to fix this?
