I used a Beelink S82B with Nova launcher for TV a couple of years ago but having to use keyboard for operation was a deal breaker with wife. We've been using Roku since then. But now I notice Android 8 and 9 - with a usable TV launcher that I couldn't get on Android 4/5.

The big deal for me is website links. I want to use alternative video websites such as DTube, Bitchute, Briteon, Vimeo and so on. Are these easy to add to the menu now?

So what is the best iptv player, with the best ui for tv, like YouTube/netflix?

I just side loaded the latest APK to my mi box but when I open it it's saying it can't figure out my location.

I have seen people complaining about all the non removable apps they got which makes the device feel bloated and honestly I just couldn't relate because the only app I had other than google owned ones were Netflix . Maybe this issues is limited to usa only and they how they the price almost half.

Another thing I notice is that whenever I try to keep resolution at 4K 60fps, it make some sort of noise from tv speakers is that hdmi cable issue or the tv's ? 4K at 30fps works just fine and I don't see glitch colors (rare) like at the 60fps.

I ain't sure if it's device issue but I am unable to use on screen keyboard in the app like it just doesn't show up in search

I'm unable to cast any Google products to my Shield or Chromecast. Anyone else have this?

Cannot find this in the play store on the box . Is it not avaliable ? I side loaded from my phone but the picture is turned to the side . Any ideas ?

I lost MI Tv box remote, now trying to find alternates. Installed Android TV Remote app, which detects MI Box but while pairing TV needs an input too.. while i dont have remote i cant click on "pair"

So hello everyone, I am new to the world of tv box and I was looking for suggestions. Before you all start by suggesting the Shield I want to say that my budget is around 75 USD, and I don't think that I would ever use many functionalities of the shield.

My main usage would be to stream from netflix, youtube, chromecast functions and some other Italian streaming webistes. I was looking (of course) at the Mi Box S, but I have some doubts about the internal memory, do you think that 8gb is enough? I know that it is possible to attach a usb stick and expand it, but can you install apps on the stick?

Would you recommend any other tv box?

Hi, I have a Sinotec (Skyworth) AndroidTV which pretty much has similar CPU and other specs to some of the Sony Android TVs. 2018 model with Android 7 and Google assistant.

Anyway, I had my audio hooked up to a logitech bluetooth adapter and its been running fine for the passed 5 months. I noticed an update today and after the update, my volume slider for bluetooth now shows the actual volume as well, but it does not actually do anything.. I can change it from 100 all the way down to 1, no change. If I put it to 0, it mutes the audio. Muting works fine. I tried connecting my Bluetooth earphones, same issue. I factory reset as I thought maybe the BT was just messing around. Same problem.

This sucks, now I have to literally get up and go change the volume on my speakers connected to the Logitech BT adapter.

Any fixes? I may just end up taking this TV back to the store and asking for a replacement that I will not update.

Hello guys, i'm currently after a new Android TV box, but i don't know which one to choose.

Both have the same specs (or do they?), but the Mi box 4/S, is the newer one.

I've been using a Mecool M8S Pro L for a while now, and it's working great, even now.

But i want an Android box that supports Chromecasting, which Mi box does :)

I've been reading around and found out that many people have WiFi issues on the Mi box 4, specifically when they are trying to connect to a 5Ghz network.. It somehow doesn't work? And also have issue with the bluetooth pairing with headphones, since it disconnects every now and then.

I've also been reading that with Mi box 3 also have WiFi issue after the Oreo update...

Do you guys have these problems? And do you think it's worth to buy one of them? And which one? :)

Ohh and also, is 8GB HDD and 2GB ram enough as of today? It feels that they are waaay to weak, compared to my Mecool M8S L Pro :/

My TV updated yesterday and the issue where Netflix would not launch unless it was force closed has been resolved (for me at least in the UK), it only took them 6 months.

Hello. I want to setup PIA VPN on my XIAOMI MI BOX S. I use PIA VPN on my computer's. I wanted to install it on MI BOX S but the app is not available on Play store for Android TV. I can download the app, put the app on a USB stick and sideloaded. But i am wondering why the app is not on play store? Maybe it's not 100% compatible with Android TV or Mi Box S ? Do you recommend another app?

I just got a Mi box S from Walmart, and I'm pretty happy with it so far. VPN works like a charm and app switching is pretty smooth. The only complaint I have is about Netflix! It plays a preview of the movie/series if I hover on a thumbnail for more than 2 seconds. It is incredibly annoying for someone who likes to read the description. Is there a way to make this stop?

I connected my crown amplifier and my aiwa speakers to my box with 3.5 to rca connector and now when I put for example YouTube on pause, exit and than open it again and press play, the sound is first as a loud boom and than it's normal, when I just play/pause everything is fine
