It just says:

This version of the app isn't compatible with your device. To fix this problem, go to Settings and uninstall updates for the Google Play Store app.

After trying to open it several times it just disappears from the app drawer. If I uninstall the app it works perfectly until it gets updates again.

Any one with the same issue?

so I got a situation: I want to convert old svhs videos to digital video files. So, as my old recorder works fine with my Sony Bravia, I was asking myself if there is a way to just record the footage on an usb device as I am watching it.

Using Mi Box. Is it possible to turn off ethernet connection from within android tv, so I can leave the cable hooked to it, without having to unplug the ethernet cable? Cause sometimes I have to tether it to mobile broadband.

I feel bad because I told my mom to get this A95X pro box because a youtuber gave it good review. Yet this doesn't work. I can't use the Netflix app or the Hulu app since they both mess up either on playback error or Hulu logged into all zoomed in. I need a replacement for the box so I can get my mom a IPTV service. My mom don't play games nor can she afford a Shield. We thinking about just going Fire.

So I missed out on some deals on the Shield but managed to grab a Mi Box S from Walmart for $40. I arrived earlier and went through the setup process. After signing in with my Google account, the box restarted and when it came back on it appeared good to go.

I did however notice the remote appeared to stop working, but I was able to use my Android TV app on my phone.

Opened Netflix, signed in, and then immediately noticed that all of the text throughout the entire app was in Chinese. Went back home and clicked the settings cog and noticed the menus are all in Chinese as well. I'm 100% certain I selected English (United States) for my location and language and I managed to find my way into the language settings on the box and confirmed it's still set to English.

At a loss here. Worried about the Chinese text throughout the whole box and also the remote's inconsistent connectivity. Think I may just return the unit and wait for another sale on the Shield but figured I'd check here to see if there's an easy fix I'm just missing.

If I click the voice search button it completely locks up and I can't do anything. Already factory reset it, but that didn't help. Any ideas?

I have a t9 Android Tv Box and it came rooted..What are the benefits of this thing being rooted?

Xiaomi refuses to help because I did not buy my unit at Walmart. Unit is bricked. LED comes on, but that's it. I can connect it to my PC with a male-to-male USB, jump the motherboard, and the Amlogic USB burning tool can connect to it. But there is no firmware img file to flash.

What do I do now? Do I seriously just throw this device into the trash?

EDIT : Tried over 100 times to get into recovery mode, never made it, even though the LED was on. Ended up trashing the unit. I will always recommend Nvidia Shield to people in the future.

Anyone else experiencing a boot loop after updating to 7.2? My shield tv has been stuck in an endless reboot cycle for almost an hour now.

Any ideas on that? The visibility is clearly worse with the app of Mibox. Tried to change the display settings (both resolutions and color space & deep color settings), but it doesn't seem to change anything on Netflix app.

I bought a Mi Box S this week, running official AndroidTV.
Everything works fine, it's a great android tv box but there's a problem, whenever I try to change any device option through Google Home app, the app gives me the following error: "Could not communicate with your Android TV".
I've already tried to reset the box, reboot it, reinstall apps but it's always the same, I wanted to disable the option "Let others control your cast media" but it keeps throwing the error.
I'm able to cast videos/music to it just fine, but I can't change options on Google Home app.

I use a shield myself and have no complaints. My parents keep asking me for something they can use to stream the major services and possibly iptv.

Im thinking a sheild is overkill since they will never play any games. Any other recommendations? Im in canada and would rather just order online if possible.
