My shield tv dont show “Power off” in Quick Settings.

My remote doesn't connect after the update. It did right before, what to do? Already did the press back and home button hold until beep a few times.

Currently doing a factory reset to see if that helps.

Edit: tried rebooting a couple times and also factory reset but it didn't fix it. Fixed it by removing the batteries for 10 seconds and after putting them back in it auto reconnected.

I wonder if anyone can help I used to have this problem on my Nexus player and now I've upgraded to my NVIDIA player and the same problem persists

Whenever I'm using Google Play music and I'm in my library and try to play music from the artist section it won't ever play the song it says "could not retrieve music"

but it will play any of the playlist that I have made its fine. I had this problem before I thought it would have been fixed with the Nvidia but obviously not.

So, I'm making the switch back to Android from Apple. Got my Pixel, wear os watch and now time to ditch my apple TV.

I bought a Nexus player from someone for $20. It still had plastic wrap on it. So far really like Android TV interface but it's really showing it's age. Navigating menus and such is pretty laggy. I don't really want to drop almost $200 for a shield, at least not right now, so I was gonna pick up a mibox. But apparently Walmart has stopped selling them.

Are there any stores that still sell them or some legit place? Most eBay sellers are asking like $90 and I read stories about getting an international version.

Hi there! Has anyone here been able to install Kodi 18 Leia Beta 1/2 on their Xiaomi Mi Box yet? I was trying to do just that yesterday, but the installation failed without an error message. Sadly, I have no idea how to access the installation logs on this device to help with the troubleshooting.

Has anyone been able to get the ShieldTV app to work? I just updated to latest shield update but the app still doesn't find the shield.

Is there a local zip file I can download for 2033 update? The previous oreo builds have rendered my box useless for last month due to wifi dropout. Now I can't even update the latest one due to these issues.

Is there a way to watch IPTV with a tvheadend client flawless on the Mi Box? I've read many places that Android+Tvheadend+deinterlacing is not working at all without stutter. I've tried several Kodi versions with tvheadend, tvheadend android channels plugin, VLC, MX player but none of them work 100%. VLC did almost work without stutter, but 1080i channels is not perfect. It annoys me like hell. Even the Kodi menu does stutter. I've tried stable, beta and nightlies.

I got a s912 box with Libreelec. Works perfect. Streams are mostly 1080i 7-15 mbit.

Is there hope?

Has anyone found a way to enable a night mode on Android TV? I've seen Apple TV has it built in. I'm aware of twilight but want something that doesn't just overlay a filter (like cf.lumen). I'm currently rooted to use the phone version of cf.lumen but it's a pain every time I want to upgrade to the next OS.

EDIT: not referring to theming. The tint of the screen, shifting away from blue light in the hours before bed. It's universal on phones for a while now. Same logic applies to a 65 inch TV...

Do I have to buy an HDHomeRun for each box? Or can I buy a single HDHomeRun and somehow let all 3 boxes connect to it?

Topic. Out of the 4k boxes I currently have, the Fire TV doesn't support h.265 and while the Mi Box does, neither support TrueHD audio so I have to settle for AC3.

Suggestions?

Hey all, I must be missing something. I installed Aptoide on my MiBox (Oreo) and am finding navigating with the remote to be incredibly frustrating. I just spent 20 minutes trying to search and install an app. When I finally got to the Install screen, I could find NO WAY to navigate with the remote buttons to select install. It is entirely possible I'm an idiot, but normally I just breeze though such things... am I missing something?
