Where can I purchase a replacement remote for the U.S (Walmart) MiBox? It's so hard to find one! The one that you can place AAA batteries in, not the chinese version with the quarter size batteries. I'm not to sure if it'll be compatible with the US version.

Hello all. I have some Android app shortcuts setup on my Kodi home screen. Since Oreo, any Android app I update results in no app icon in Kodi.

This is the same in Kodi 17, SPMC 17, and SPMC 16.

In SPMC 16, anywhere a GOOGLE app is supposed to show, the app just crashes. Not a big deal as I don't really use that version but I'm sure this is all related to the Oreo update.

Anyway noticing similar behavior or even better have a solution lol? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Sony Bravia TV with a small microphone plugged in a USB port. A few days ago I was watching YouTube and in the video someone said "Okay Google" and Google Assistant launched, I didn't know I could actually activate it this way. But not all the normal Google Assistant commands works, I thaught changing the language from en_UK to en_US would work, and it did give me all the Google Assistant commands but I lost the Okay Google hotword. Changing the language back to en_UK didn't work.

Does saying Okay Google active Google Assistant for any of you with Android TV? And maybe someone knows how I can fix it?

Version 11 of the app was released with improved 4K Live playback for Hisense TV owners.

I have patched this version again allowing it to run on any Android TV device (version 26 and up), and adding the ability to do external playback with other players. Please check the earlier posts!

I'm new to NordVPN, and VPNs in general. The NordVPN app is kind of odd- I know Nord has a lot of servers in any one region, but it seems like the app only gives you the option to connect to one. It's a bit confusing the way they set it up.

Is there a way to get a list of servers with the app in each region and choose each one accordingly?

Also, the standard OpenVPN app gives per-app VPN selection, and such features as auto-logging into a specific specific server on start up (among other things). Without being able to select VPN by app you have to go back to the software and turn it on and off every time.

Just bought a MiBox (MDZ-16-AB) with an external keyboard (Logitech K400+) and updated to Oreo.

The keyboard works fine with English but i can't type any Greek characters with it.

On Settings > Keyboard > Manage keyboards > Gboard is selected but there is no option for Greek Input/Keyboard, nore a "download more keyboards/languages" button.

I installed SwiftKey keyboard, which allows me to type Greek characters with the virtual on-screen keyboard, but the external keyboard can only type in English.

I tried different combinations to change language (eg. Shift+Alt, Ctrl+space, AltGr+space), but i can still type only in English.

Any idea on how i can type Greek with my external keyboard on MiBbox3?

I can't even turn on the me box with the power button on the remote since the Oreo update. To even get the Mi box to turn on, I have to unplug the power cable and then plug back in. After that, I have to press buttons on the remote multiple times and wait until it becomes active again to go through the home screen selections. I unpaired and repair the remote a few times. My next step is to do a factory reset. Any other suggestions?

I want to install the standard Android (mobile) version of Hoopla Digital to my Shield TV, but it keeps automatically reverting to the Android TV version every time. I tried installing the recent apk of the phone version, I tried installing from the Play Store with Chrome on the Shield, and it keeps switching over.

If I open it directly after installing the apk I get the mobile version but every time after it's the Android TV version.

I want to use the Hoopla mobile version on my Shield because the Android TV version won't let you listen to music and audio books, and the mobile version doesn't chromecast music and audio books at all (don't ask me why), it just does video.

Lots of Chinese sites sell these cheap Android boxes, but I've read lots of bad reviews about them on Amazon, reliability seems to be a big problem with them, which brand do you think is the most reliable: Minix, Tanix, Vorke, Xiaomi, Beelink, Meecool, MXQ, etc.?

I was wondering if someone has found a reason or perhaps a solution to the problem caused by the oreo update when Mi box gives zero sounds after waking it up from sleep?

I've now seen this bug mentioned few times here and few times at xiaomi.eu forums. It obviously is not affecting everyone so it probably has something to do with our setups.

My Mibox is (or was, i put the damn box away) connected to a Phillips 8102 TV which is connected to a Pioneer AVR thru HDMI arc.

No settings option or any tinkering seems to work, only restart of the box will bring the sounds back. This is rather annoying so I just stopped using Mi Box altogether for the moment. Factory reset did nothing.

There wasn't a specific thread for this particular bug, albeit there are other ppl with other sound problems after Oreo but these are different problems although might be related somehow, who knows.

Anyone getting this? Lpcm works fine. Getting audio drops every single min or so if I use bitstream. Tested HDMI cable/receiver and other devices bitstream fine except for mibox regardless of Kodi/netflix.

I monitored by receivers status and basically when the audio drop outs occurs, it "loses" the audio channels except for the subwoofer in the bitstream.

Seems like after the Oreo update, while watching streams (IPTV, YouTube..) the wifi keep getting doscpnnected, sometimes every 10 mins sometimes once in an hour.

Tried the following: Factory reset. WPS connection.

My MiBox shits the bed if I try to chromecast in 4k, 1080p is perfect though. But when chromecasting, it doesn't give me an option to change quality?

I've been using a fire tv remote as my original mi box remote broke. I had to do a factory reset and it seems I can't get through the setup without the original remote. Any idea on a way to get around this without having to buy a replacement mibox remote from China that'll take a month to arrive?
