Anyone have or know where I could find a commercial free modded APK of Pandora for Android TV? On the Playstore it's called Pandora Music for TV. I have a modded commercial free Spotify for the TV and I'm looking for the same thing for Pandora. I've looked everywhere and can't find one. I even tried seeing if someone had modded one for the FireTV. I also tried sideloading my modded Pandora phone version to the TV but it won't work properly. If anyone can help but doesn't want to post here feel free to PM me.

Does Google pull games after a certain time period? I'm noticing lots of games that were once compatible aren't anymore.

Ok, so I have the shield tv. When I go to google play music and search for an artist then try to play their top songs, they don't play. It just goes to their album. If I uninstall the play music updates, it works correctly. This broke after they changed the UI.

Is this affecting other people? Can you test for me? I have factory reset the unit and everything.

Hello there, So I finally got a CableCard from Comcast and I have set up a HDHomeRun Prime with said CableCard. I introduced my parents to the live channels app with the Xfinity channels, and they're struggling to use it. Their biggest (and only) complaint is that there aren't any numbers on the Android TV remotes to change the channel. (One of the remotes is for the Shield and one for the mibox.) So my question has two parts.

Part A) Can the live channels app on Android TV accept numerical input?

Part B) If it can, what remote can I use to replace the remote for the shield/mibox?

UPDATE: Got it to work by downloading the latest apk for "Google Cast Receiver" app at Apkmirror.com . After I sideloaded the app I tried on my phone to turn on my Shield via Google Assistant...it worked.

Anyone have this problem?

Planning on getting a 16gb Shield to take over as my Plex server for my aging Nuc since it can handle 4k files easily. Of course I will need to expand its storage capabilities big time & have a nice 7200 rpm terabyte HDD I could hook to it via a USB 3.0 powered enclosure.

But I'm wondering if anyone has experience with using a fast HDD as adoptable storage experiencing any slow downs in general since it combines with the internal onboard storage. Would it be better to just mount it as an external separate drive?

I do have a fast 2.5" SSD I could use, but it's only 256gb. I'm afraid I'd burn through that pretty fast, but if it makes a big difference I'll use it. Thoughts?

Alright, I've searched google and here and can't find a great answer.

My setup, I've got a NAS that houses my music collection and I've got a MiBox running the latest non-beta software.

My issue, I really want an app that can play music off of my NAS (either Samba or SSH connection works) and gives a nice interface rather than just browsing folders to play stuff.

What I don't want/need is what googling ends up getting articles for, steaming music apps. I'm playing network content, so spotify, pandora, etc.

What I've tried, Kodi and plex. I run a remote plex server as it is, so adding the second local server is a little painful to have to remember to switch back and forth between them.

Kodi somewhat works, but the UI feels lacking for a music player and it tends to act a little goofy, like press back on a video file stops playback but in music it goes back to the menu UI with no way to then stop the music thanks to not having a real pause/play button.

So, I'm reaching out here to see if anyone has any recommended music apps that may fit my need.

There's a lot of hearsay, but I'm most interested in hearing from people with first-hand knowledge, who have used both ethernet and wifi, about their experience.

x265 videos worked flawlessly before. Now they max out the CPU and the video is completely jerky.

EDIT: Figured out what was wrong.

Today YoutubeTV was released for Roku and AppleTV but it still can’t be installed on various Android TV devices including the mibox. I give up on my mibox and AndroidTV. Google obviously doesn’t care about the platform and it appears Xiaomi will never update this device.

It's odd that you have to type a URL into your phone or computer to log into apps on Android TV , even with YouTube TV. It would be a perfect fit to use a QR code to open the link.

I have an X96 and an iptv service was included for the first month. It seems to work fine but if you are channel surfing the iptv service gets bogged down and sometimes crashes. Or more frequently it has a sync problem matching sound to video. However the sync links back up everytime Im in the preview/guide window. So because it always syncs back up i feel lile this isnt a slow wifi problem it is a setting i need to change.That and Netflix hasnt had a problem with bufferring at all. Am I rambling, does anyone get what im saying? I have a feeling i may have to contact the iptv people about their service. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having a little trouble with FujiTV on my mi box. Been working fine for about a week and now its having connection issues? Channels just load and load forever. But working fine on my laptop.. It's okay if you dont know what the app is but, was just wondering if it had anything to do with the mi box being a little bit slow on higher resolutions? Its at 1080p now...

This is why I almost didn’t want an android tv in the first place. Another Google I/O is around the corner and android P will be revealed. But sadly, no Sony tv and most other android TVs have Oreo.
