Can some one tell me why HBO is not available for search on android tv? at least on my MI BOX is not available, so doesn't suggest any HBO NOW content, and with the Google assistant, i try to search it and it say to me that the app HBO NOW cant be searched. please i need some help to figure this out.

Just wondering if anyone has an update for DirecTV now. I'm using 1.6 but tried 1.14 and it did work.

Do any apps hook into the search feature of AndroidTV? The only search results that show for me are from Google play. I have Netflix, Hulu, HBO GO, Showtime Anywhere, etc and not of them are returned in search results. Am I missing a setting?

Hi folks, I am new to Android TV world and when I first set up my nvidia shield I had Youtube app that could work in background and it didn't re-start the app every time I ran it, instead it used to pause it in background.

Now the app updated to what it seems to be just a wrapper for youtube.com/tv and it cannot work in background any more. Also if I minimize it and run it again it will re-run the app instead of just unpause it.

Is there a way to get this app to work in the background?

Hello, Im setting up a mibox for the parents and they are less tech savy then i would like. is there anyway for me to remote control the mi box via my PC to manage apps, fix settings that might get messed up etc.

i tried teamviewer host and while i can view it, it doesnt actually allow me to interact with anything.

I was about to finalize my purchase of an Nvidia Shield when I received a pm about the Skystream 2. I hadn't really even considered or even heard of this box but it seems like a very good option, perhaps even better than the Shield, based on reviews and opinions.... At least ease of setup.

I have read that the Skystream 2 has problems with Netflix at HD resolution or higher. Is this true? More importantly, does the Skystream 2 play video files from a NAS without issue?

I'm in Mexico where Amazon video is available and the app on my andriod phone works with no issues. I just got a Mibox and sideloaded the Amazon video app, but when I try to login it won't accept my password.

Could it be that the TV app is hardcoded to only work with USA prime suscriptions?

Hello, Ive got my Mi Box today but unfortunatelly I have serious problem with quality of iptv streams. First tried Smart IPTV app its simple to use but streams drop frames in the fast motion scenes. Scrolling horizontally the news bars on the news channels is choopy and not fluid. This problem is not persist only when I use Perfect Player and use Native codec but in this case stream buffering every couple of seconds and watching is impossible. When I use Hardware or HW+ codec there is the same problem as in the Smart IPTV player- dropping frames and choopy scrolling bars chipped fonts etc. Anyone has solution for this? Im afraid I will have to return Mi Box because IPTV functionality is so important for me. :(

Title says it all, it's running the latest beta but stable did it too. The box gets laggy as if the ram is clogged if left in standby for to long, of course a reboot fixes this. Is there a fix for this?

I've got a bedroom TV that I'm looking to replace and it currently has a Mi Box connected to it (which I don't care for). I'm considering replacing it with a Sony TV with Android TV built in so I can do away with the Mi Box. I'm just curious what everyone's thoughts are. I'll only be using Plex and Netflix. Thanks.

At the moment, my friend is at the US and he told me that he found a Mi Box selling at the store. But after searching a little bit, I found that some people are getting problems with 1080p TV's that only allow HDCP 1.(something). Is this true? Or it works fine to watch Netflix with a Mi Box on a 1080p TV with no 2.2 HDCP?
