I have been trying to access letv app store but it isnt working past few days.

Hey folks, so i have a super old USB IR Blaster that I put on my Nvidia Shield TV and I mapped the keys to my Harmony 900 IR-only remote control. I love the remote, and have no interest in using the Shield's remote, nor in getting the Harmony Hub and switching to that crappy one.

Now the issue. Sometimes, i have to press quite hard on buttons in order to get them to register. Sometimes it works fine, but often I've learned i really have to press on the Harmony buttons. Would this be fixed if I added a FLIRC to the shield? Or is this purely an issue with messing with the Harmony response speeds? Other tweaks?

Another issue with the particular IR blaster i'm using, is that the channel numbers do not work at all. I'm guessing this for sure would be resolved via FLIRC?

UPDATE: EVERYTHING SOLVED Amazing, I finally found a post buried on the Geforce forums that enlightened me. For CHANNEL NUMBERS, this was fixed by programming my Harmony to use the TV's remote control numbers (in my case, Panasonic TV). Apparently this works via HDMI-CEC and voila, channel numbers works! This also works with Play, Pause, FFW, RW.

Then, for the IR blaster issue, against the thinking, I actually INCREASED the MS response time in the Harmony software up to 400ms, and voila, it works like a charm. Go figure! Hope this helps save someone else time.

Is there anything I can do to still use apps that have HDCP 1.2+?

Some people have mentioned splitters that decode HDCP while others suggested the only way is to get a new TV.

Just got my Bravia 8000E-series TV last week, and one thing I notice is every time I open YouTube, it reloads. i.e., it doesn't remember what video I was watching last time, or even the list of videos. It seems like it always terminates when you go back to the home screen. Is there any way to get it to stay active in the background, via adb, if necessary?

I am having some issues with my Mi Box running 1028 Nougat beta. When streaming movies with Plex it lags very much. And I think I have found the reason why. Checked the internal storage, and the apps take 1,7gb, but the cache takes up 2,4gb of the storage. And I am left with about 400mb free storage, and this might cause the lagging issue, as it isn't enough to buffer all videos.

What is happening? I heard the latest Live Channels update caused some issues like this, and I uninstalled the updates from this app and cleared the data. No difference.

There is a way to clear all the cache in the settings, but I don't want to test this before I know it is safe. I don't want to lose any app data or settings, like all my Tasker Tasks etc.

Can anyone help me with this?

I have a Sony 930D. I am trying to figure out what is the best way to play a 4K HDR video on the TV. Is it possible to stream from my pc without having to encode into another format?

I hear of makemkv which can quickly convert iso to mkv format. Will this preserve the hdr content of my file? If I do this then I can just play off of the USB.

I have tried so far:

1. Recovery mode
2. ADB
3. Fastboot

Recovery mode won't boot and ADB and fastboot don't show it connected.

It is outputting at 4096x3840 24p and the TV is showing an input but no luck so far.

I tried the manual update method to update to a beta that may fix the issue but I can't tell if it's installing from the USB or just sitting there. The recovery menu has popped up in the past hour but I could not select anything because when I pressed down to select factory reset the box went to power off and I didn't notice and pressed ok.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: I already contacted Xiaomi support a while back and after a couple of months they said that they are still working on it.

Edit 2: Thanks to everyone who helped fix it. I used a powered USB hub with a keyboard holding A + B and then it booted into Android from there I used a USB male to male cable to boot into recovery. Next I installed the 1035 update file using the Xiaomi_update file. After that everything works perfectly!

I saw a comment in a post about a user that played their USB hard drive directly off the tv. I am liking my Android box but not the way it plays files off my USB drive. Based on your experience, what tv's will play a USB hard drive directly? Preferably at 4Tb... Thanks

Ever since the Oreo update on my Nexus Player, I have been having intermittent Wi-Fi connectivity issues. I will be streaming a show, and, in the upper right corner, get the message "Wi-Fi not connected". This is happening about once or twice an hour.

Anyone else experiencing this, or have any suggestions?

Is there an easier way for me to connect my Bluetooth headphones to my Android TV? I can only get it to work after I pair my headphones with my shield.

After that, I have to unpair and then pair to get them connected to each other again.

I feel like a noob asking this, since I've had my STV for couple years but my CEC controls don't work correctly with it so I'm not sure what normal functions are.

Anyway, can a tv remote control Nvidia volume through CEC? If so, what settings need to be changed and will this disable anything on the Nvidia remote?

I've got some form of Sony bravia, with android tv built in... ...the only parental control options seem to be "restricted profile" - which for various reasons seems pretty limited.

What i'd like is for some way to set time limits for individual apps, e.g. YouTube - 30 mins a day, but can't figure out a way to do it.

As it is I'm not a fan of android TV in a family setting, (it seems to lack the granularity required to accomodate very different ages and level of appropriate content) so anything that makes it even a bit better would be very welcome

Have a mibox that has an issue when playing content from Netflix, Plex, terrarium tv, and most other apps. Every few minutes I get an audio stutter. Seems to go away for a few after rebooting but eventually return.

Hooked up to my Denon avr which feeds the tv via HDMI
