Hello,
I'm having an issue with the YouTube app on my Mi Box and wanted to post here to see if anyone else is having the same issue. I've seen reports of stutters but I think my issue might be different.
I've been running on nougat 1028 for a while without any major issues until a couple of weeks ago. Playing a video in the YouTube app causes the entire UI on the Mi Box to become completely unresponsive; I usually have to unplug the power cable on the unit. YouTube does play fine when using Google Cast; this issue only occurs within the app.
I thought it could be related the the new version of the app that came out in early December so I rolled back to the version from October but the issue persists. I also tried wiping the data on my Mi Box and setting everything back up but that did not help either.
I've just updated the Mi Box to build 1560 hoping that it would help but no dice.
I recorded a video of this behavior that you can view here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/Hmwi3khkDOK5ZdK03
Recently I found out that there is a Alexa setup app for certain Sony Bravia TVs. My TV is a Kd-55xe8588, which is equivalent to the x850e series (correct me if I'm wrong). It does not have this app. Follow this link for more information. The compatible TVs are:

My question is now, can this app be sideloaded, so that I can use it? I don't understand, why I don't have it from the start. If any of you have this app, can you try to extract the APK and share it? I'd really like to find out if it works for not supported models. Thanks in advance!
