Like the title says, i was wondering what the cheapest compatible ota tuner is for the shield tv?

I've been running the Mibox on Nougat beta. Recently the box keeps auto downloading the July 1 update for MM, which the box couldn't apply as it can't downgrade to MM.

I've manually tried updating the package, downgrading to MM without success.

I guess I have to wait until a new Nouget build is released. Does anyone know how to block this OTA update? I can do it from the router but doesn't know the IP address(es) to block. Thanks

So most software I try seems to map this gamepad incorrectly. Goat Simulator and retroarch both are unusable due to the gamepad mapping being completely unusable (Goat simulator is particularly bad with it requiring me to hit L Trigger to stop the camera from spinning). Gamepad works great on my PC. Can anyone confirm the issue and/or has any tips on getting retroarch working?

Hi, I'm in Canada and looking to get a Mi Box. I just have a few questions, as I'm 100% new with streaming devices like this. I understand it runs with apps. Are you able to get apps for normally free to watch channels like CBC or CTV without extra cost? Does Crave TV have an app for this box? I've also seen other streaming boxes on Amazon.ca for less $$, like MXQ or Roku. Is the extra money worth it for this box, or are these other cheaper boxes just as good?

is there anyway i can watch the event on tuesday on my tv through my iphone? any mirroring apps that will send video and audio to the tv?

Hi, Im new in the android environment - But found My android (Xu mibox) fairly easy and fast,

playing IP-TV works Well, But My Main issue is the starting time on perfect player is 1-2 mins,

Any tips on How to make it faster Or an app that works quicker?

I'm having some connectivity issues with my Mibox international model. I've a stable gigabit connection and a gigabit router.

Problems:

1. Unable to connect to 5GHZ WiFi. I have a AC router and the damn MiBox refuses to connect, saying that I have put in the wrong password even though I am 100% sure i put in the correct one. Out of every 10 tries, I will successfully connect once but it will disconnect 5 minutes later. I am pissed as I need to connect to the much slower 2.4ghz band which also disconnects from time to time.

2. USB Ethernet is really killing me. Since i can't connect to my preferred wifi network and it keeps disconnecting, I decided to go to the hardwired route. It connects fine and with my USB 3.0 Ugreen usb ethernet adapter I get around 220/180Mbps connection, limited by USB2.0 of the MiBox. That's fast enough for my use. HOWEVER, whenever i turn my MiBox off, the ethernet connection disconnects and I have to manually disconnect the cable and insert it again to connect ethernet. As such I have since run my MiBox 24/7 which I can't imagine to be good for its health.

If anyone has any tips to circumvent or solve my problems do let me know.

My dad has a Sony Bravia TV and he's been trying to install apk apps to stream Hong Kong / Taiwanese shows and movies. He wasn't able to open the apps he installed. Do I need to buy a dedicated android box? Thanks

My shield isn't seeing it, and I keep reading that you need to get the firmware. Now I see that the firmware can only be gotten on Windows 10 or an Xbox One. So uh. Any ideas? That just seems insane.

First of all, where's android tvs YouTube TV app?Also it needs Live Channels app support right off the bat. Its amazing they aren't even supporting their own platform with their own service. Anybody have any idea if it's incoming anytime soon and if they plan in including Live Channels support?

Hello I have a WifiStreamtv.com OTT TV BOX T95. I once had access to HBO, Starz, Showtime and many other services but something happened and I had to factory reset the device. Now none of those services are available or even available for download from the add-on section. From what I understand, I was using a jailbroken system.

What I dont understand is I cant seem to find a simple fundamental way to jailbreak it. It seems everyone just buys it jailbroken already. How do I restore the jailbroken capabilities?

as the title says I'm looking for a budget friendly controller for my android tv device which is a xiaomi mi box. I have two original moga controllers and a compact nyko gamepad neither of them are sufficient for big screen gaming or even work due to requiring a driver app that's incompatible with Android tv. I'm looking for something with real analog sticks and a decent d-pad for emulators. I would prefer to not have to install driver apps (like moga pivot) but if they're compatible with Android tv I'm willing to look past that and I don't want to spend more than $40 on them since I might end up buying two so friends can play too when visiting. I'm an unemployed college student with limited funds so I can't splurge on much. Thanks in advance.

I think we see almost one a day, someone confusing a Chinese Android box with the official Android TV OS. At this point I think Google has dropped the ball with marketing this device. It also doesn't help that these devices predate Android TV, heck even I had one. I think it comes down to name recognition as Android TV is too generic. Especially with YouTube TV streaming service. I hope something changes in the future.

I have a 16 gb Lexar drive that hit write protected when I connected it to my tv, and when I format with settings it asks for a pin, but I don't know it, I also tried 1234 and 0000 with no success. Anyone know other ways to format USB or delete data on android?

You can install photos app through play store.

The app icon doesnt appear in the list of apps. I opened the app through settings. Configured my google account but pics are not appearing.

Even I can select photos app and google acc. in screensaver but not showing any albums/pics.
