CenturyLink has unveiled its CenturyLink Player – an Android TV device, manufactured by LG https://www.androidheadlines.com/2017/07/android-tv-heres-a-new-android-tv-device-from-centurylink-lg.html
Google released a samba client and i found it to be very useful for managing the storage of my shield remotely. It's the only app i used that has worked flawlessly when it comes to copying, moving and deleting files. I usually do all this from my PC but sometimes it's more practical to use my phone or tablet and now i can.
I suppose this can work with other android tvs, as long as you have shared storage enabled.

Hi. I recently posted about my misfortunes regarding using the Plex app on Android TV, for details on why I can't use the Plex app please see https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidTV/comments/6l9ux3/refresh_rate_limits_of_androidtv/djsmxhj/?context=3 (if anyone can throw any light on fixing the judder I would really appreciate it.
Anyway, onto the reason of this post.
I'm pretty certain i read somewhere that you can use Kodi with some sort of Plex addon that integrates Plex into Kodi and then Kodi integrates the Plex stuff with Android TV OS? The main reason I liked the Plex app was because of the Android TV integration, but using Plex for Kodi addon would mean I lose this functionality, something i'd rather not lose.
Could anyone point me in the right direction on what I am looking for, or am I completely lying to myself about seeing what I thought I saw?
