My Nexus Player shows up fine, but when I try to connect it attempts for a few seconds then says "Failed to connect" every time. Tried reinstalling the app, restarting the Player, etc. Even called Google, but they redirected me to Apple for some reason the first time I called and Asus the second time (for a replacement). Don't think that's the problem; every other remote works fine, including the one it came with, my standard TV remote via CEC, Nexus 4 via remote app, and G Watch via remote app. Any idea?

I'm looking for an android box to further my cord cutting. I'm looking for an android box that allows access to a wide array of sports. I ran across an application called SPORTS DEVIL that was installed on a box. I'm trying to watch US college football...perhaps some UFC and want to make the best choice. Can any suggest how I can get educated about the various boxes...their capabilities....SPORTS DEVIL availability in those boxes.....and the ability to add future new applications. Thanks in advance.

I want to buy something that is close to complete:

• Can play all the common video files eg. mkv
• Can play MAME roms without lag
• Can connect to a share/network and stream video
• Can do YouTube

It seems many cheap android boxes and an Rpi setup can do most of this, but when it comes to some videos and big games, it lags.

I saw a used Nexus Player selling for $80 online and I'm quite tempted to purchase it. I currently use a Raspberry Pi 2 that is running Openelec & Kodi as the heart of my HTPC. What advantages, besides Netflix & Prime, would i have with the Nexus Player vs. Kodi with some good add-ons?

Does the keyboard on the app work for anyone else? I've tried it on 3 different Phones and a tablet and the keyboard part has never really worked for me, and usually causes the app to crash. Is there an alternative app that can be used for the keyboard?

I'd really love an option for an on-screen keyboard on Android TV, really can't be arsed getting a physical keyboard out every time i need to type something

Has anyone encountered this problem? Just happened in the last couple of days but been on 3.1 since it came out. When the box goes into standby, the only way to get it back on is to turn the power on and off at the switch or pull the cable.

I was looking at Amazon, Google Play and a bunch of other websites but couldn't find the official gamepad for Android TV. Has it been discontinued by any chance? I am looking to buy it. Also, I live in India if that means anything.

So do you have to be a subscriber to access the free radio stations in the AndroidTV app? I use them all the time on my phone but they don't show up as an option on my ShieldTV. I see a radio section in the play store screenshots and it's listed as a feature of the app in the description so I know they should be there.

I've tried clearing app data and uninstalling updates a couple of times but have never seen radio as an option. Even the I'm feeling lucky mix only plays songs from my library. I'm pretty pissed about it.

I've noticed that any video played through the Kodi app for Android TV isn't interpolated and seems very unsmooth compared to other apps. I've tried playing the same video file both through Kodi and the default 'Videos' app on Sony Android TVs and there is a world of difference.
 

Is there any way to enable interpolation on Kodi as I can't really stand watching on TV without it? I've already looked through all the settings and was unable to find anything.
