Q: Does the Shield TV have Bluetooth lag with remotes like the Logitech harmony home/smart control?

I got a Nexus Player yesterday, and I love it except for one reason, which will likely cause me to return it. The Bluetooth connection is laggy and unreliable. My Logitech Harmony Home Control controls every other home electronic perfectly with no lag, but with the Nexus Player, it has about a half second of lag, and often it will just stop working for about 30 seconds. Also, every time I use the remote after I haven't used it for a few minutes, its like the NP has to wake up the Bluetooth connection, because it doesn't respond for about 2-3 seconds. It's really frustrating, and using the included remote isn't an option.

Does anyone use a Logitech Harmony remote with the Shield TV? Does it have an option for WiFi direct control like Roku? Is the Bluetooth more reliable and responsive?

Edit: I ended up ordering an IR receiver and to hook up to my Nexus Player. I have heard there is no delay when using IR compared to Bluetooth.

Live Channels USB-Tuner?

With the 'Live TV Input Framework' along with the recently added MPEG2 hardware-decoding, the potential for the Live Channels app to be coupled with a simple DVB-T2 USB-tuner seems obvious.

However, when browsing around the web, pretty much the only tuners, people are discussing, are the HDHomerun devices. These are expensive and provide way too much functionality for this purpose. And people are reporting tons of issues with them, likely since they work through people's home-networks, leaving room for various errors...

Can it really be true, not a single such product exists, yet? In my head, I'm dreaming of a product similar to the Xbox One USB TV-Tuner.

I feel like I should mention the Shield 2.0 update that just came out has some HDCP issue that is causing it to not work on some displays/receivers.

I ran the update today and noticed that I was getting no video output. I plugged it direct into my TV and it worked. Since I have no intention of not using my audio receiver I downloaded the recovery image for the previous SW and flashed that via Fastboot.

Others on the Shield forums are also having this issue FYI.
