Hi All, my Nexus Player is my main video player, but since the remote has no IR, it's a pain to keep a second remote around to change volume/power. Is anyone using anything great as a solution? Searching google and Amazon have not yielded anything awesome yet. What are you guys using?

I've been having wi-fi issues. Got them straightened out, but now the Amazon Prime Video app (Sony XBR-43X830C) won't launch. It's stuck on the loading animation and won't go any further. All other apps connect and stream, but not Amazon Prime.

Restarting the TV hasn't knocked it out of the loop. Any ideas? How do I reboot the app?

I haven't had any problems prior to tonight with casting to Vudu, but I am getting a failed to get license error. Anyone else having the same issue? I also have issues with Cinemanow. Some of my movies in my library have buy or rent instead of stream. Something up with UV this evening!?!?! Vudu streamed fine from my pc, so it must be something else.

Has anyone tried the official Soul Calibur app on the Shield TV? I was trying it tonight, and while it looks great, the controls are a bit off. Generally, the controls work well enough to fight, however there seems to be an issue with multiple simultaneous button presses. For example grabs are nearly impossible, it seems to read simultaneous inputs as sliding inputs.

I haven't done enough testing with the Shield TV yet to determine if it's the controller, or the app itself, but it's pretty damn annoying. It makes an otherwise fantastic port not very playable.

The other thing is that the port doesn't include subtitles! Less important, but a bit lame that it's not included.

Has anyone else noticed similar issues in this game, or others?

Hey everyone. Can we get a list going of the best emulators for AndroidTV? I have a Shield Pro on its way to replace my ADT-1 and I'd like to fill it with emulators.

2 days ago the power supply adapter of my ADT 1 caught fire and stopped working. I am unable to find a replacement , the connector seem to be a custom one , asked around in G+ community and couldn't find help there. I have pried opened the adapter and see that 2 capacitors are burnt.

Is there a possibility of getting a replacement adapter anywhere?

Can you set up multiple users on Android TV? I was considering getting a Nexus Player for my living room, can you switch between different Google accounts so everyone can access their movies/music? If not, then what exactly can be accessed on the signed in Google account, just stuff like movies/TV/music?

Is it possible? And would it Sync up to your chrome account and transfer over your information?

I hope someone here have some recommendation on which one to purchase. I am looking for a box that are working smooth, no freezing. Some other features that would be nice maybe

No freezing when playing tv channels It must have the Bein sport channels XBMC Youtube Movies VOD Good quality and also good price, not to expensive. I am thinking of either the Zaaptv or the Loolbox or the Easybox iptv. The majority of the people I know do have the Easybox iptv. Some also have the Zaaptv box. It seems that the persons that got Easybox iptv are more happy with it than the people that got the Zaaptv box.

I just got a 65" Vizio E-Series., HDMI CEC is turned on and works for turning the whole system on (TV turns on when I use the remote) but not audio (turned on as well on the shield). I had this same problem with my old TV but I thought it was just that TV being really old. Anyone get it to control the TVs volume?

Does anyone know of a way to enable dynamic range compression? I'm noticing a huge range in volume levels between voices and music or other sound effects. Voices are too quiet and sound effects are super loud.

I realize it could just be the videos to blame, but it seems much worse than my HTPC.

I have the Nvidia Shield and the videos are playing through Plex. I just have a 2.1 sound system.

I have had my Android Tv for around a month now, Sony KDL-43W755C.

The picture is Amazing and the Tv looks great. It is just so incredibly slow..everything takes time be it switching inputs waiting about half an hour for the content on my external hdd to load up opening the tv guide changing channel basically everything it does is slow.

I really cant imagine they would release a TV like this knowing it ran so poorly. Is anyone else having similar experiences?

I'm usually doing something on my laptop while watching TV. I use GNU/Linux. I'm looking for a way to control my Sony Android TV via stand-alone app, browser extension, etc., but haven't had any luck.

I'm able to run the Android TV Remote android app in Chrome and Arc Welder but it can't find the TV. Sony's SideView app just crashes.

Update: I'm able to run Android TV Remote in Genymotion. I still need to use the mouse to click buttons in the app. Would've been nice if I could use the laptop's arrow keys to navigate but I can use the keyboard for text input. Not ideal but better than nothing.

SideView won't install with the error "INSTALL_FAILED_CPU_ABI_INCOMPATIBLE" which seems to be because it's not a native environment.

It doesn't seem to work the same way as Android. I cannot seem to fake the location via any VPN application.

Does anyone know if WatchESPN, Pac 12 Now, or Fox Sports Go work on Android TV? Or if there is a way to sideload them? These apps all exist for Android tablets

I can't let it auto play the next episode or it crashes.. Every once in a while it crashes for no reason (as in once or twice in a single 45 minute show), and there's no voice search option.

Are they deliberately ignoring their useless app?

This is my experience on my Nexus player, yet I have no issues on my Nexus 5.

Cannot for the life of me figure this one out. Has the app just not been updated since Google Music introduced Stations?

So far the only way I can do it is to cast from my phone.

I've spent a couple hours reading the forums and searching to solve these issues with no luck. So I wanted to post this just to see if anyone knew of something I was missing.

Game Controller Wont Connect

I can connect it and it works while plugged in to the USB cable. But nothing will make it work wirelessly. Shield is hardwired so no Wifi interference. I know you have to hold the button until the remote flashes. I even tried the 20 second reset on remote. I read something about a firmware update for the remote. I know I never applied it and it does not appear in my recommendations bar on top. But that may be due to the next issue.

Can't Connect to Google

Every time I try to use the voice search the bar says "Can't reach Google at the moment." I also get a "No network connection" error when I check for updates. But all the content loads just fine. No issues with Netflix or even Google Play Movies. It is only the voice search and software updates that act like I don't have a connection.

[Edit] I suppose this could all be caused by the update/voice servers being down and my controller firmware being out of date (I dont use it much since I have a Harmony remote). Can anyone check if the update servers are down by checking for updates? Thanks!

So I just picked up a Shield TV and everything was working great. I installed KODI and my plan was to run everything through that. I used target home launcher to launch directly to Kodi and things were working without a hitch until....

Kodi crashed. I thought fine I'll just reboot the TV but Kodi won't load and now since I have it set to autostart to Kodi all it does is hang trying to load Kodi and I can't get to anything not even the leanback menu. Is there any way to force close the app or safe boot or anything to get around this? Any help is greatly appreciated

I'm obviously pressing my luck here, but has there been any discussion on rooting the Sony Android TV? Is it likely to be very complicated? I just recently rooted my Google TV and while I want to upgrade, it would be sad to lose all the benefits of rooting
