Anyone else having audio problems with the MLBtv app? Audio mutes on it's own but come backs if I lower/raise the volume.

Recently got the new Oreo update on my Philips 2018 Tv. It’s working great so far and has been a great addition to my google home set up now that it has a built in google assistant.

Only thing I’m having trouble with is turning the tv on via google assistant. If I ask google assistant to turn the tv off on my phone it will work no problem. If I then ask it to turn it back on within a few seconds of turning it off. It will also work.

But if I ask google assistant to turn the tv on after it’s been on standby for a few minutes it won’t work at all. I’ve checked all the settings on the tv, WoWLAN is on, so is Switch on with Chromecast and all eco modes are off. So I don’t understand why it isn’t working.

Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone have any advice?

Good Evening, I have a Sony 900F tv. I've had it for about a year now and I love it. It did not take long for me to disable the apps and processes that showed all those recommend apps and content. Fast forward to tonight I'm now seeing a row of sponsored apps and content on the home screen. I'm now running Android 8.0 on the TV as of a few months ago. Does anyone have an idea on what this new process or app is? I've scrolled through all the installed/ system apps and I can't find anything. Thank you for your guys time and help.

I got my Mi Box a few days ago and was eager to set it up, having browsed through the app store i was disappointed to see that it did not have any web browsers available on the play store.

Was interested to know how to install Chrome and side load or enable a shortcut on the home screen.

Just wondering if anyone has encountered issues with the Jetstream 4K device?

1. Upon initial setup apps would not update/ download. I even opted out of the pre-selected apps to install but it looked like it still went ahead and tried to download the apps. I let it sit for an hour and it didn't appear to have done anything. So I factory reset the device and it did the same thing.

I ended up having to go through and cancel all the app install/ update processes. Then I went back to kick off the system updates and app installs.

2. Sometimes when watching shows on Sling the app would just close out to the home screen. Only app I've tested so far.

3. The box turns on automatically? I've woken up to the TV on in the morning the past few days. Before work I confirmed I powered the device/ TV off but I just got back and it was on. Unsure if any updates are causing the device to power on?

UPDATE 3/26/2019: I went downstairs last night before bed to get some water and verified the TV was off (it had been off for a few hours now). As I'm leaving for work this morning the TV is on again.

I'll have to look through the settings and see what could possibly have it turn on the TV without being prompted. Else, I'll return it back to Wal-Mart.

I successfully installed the Amazon Prime video app (4.2.43-nvidia-armv7a) on my Hisense H9E plus. Regular videos work great, but when I try to stream any of the amazon content in UHD (4K), it always gives me the error:

"We're unable to play your video at this time. Please try again in a few minutes or contact Amazon Customer Service"

would an updated version of the Prime Video app help, or is it blocked due to it being 4k content and the DRM is "upgraded" for it? The TV supports 4k for all other packaged and/or available apps (Netfix, Youtube, etc.) . Any help that can be provided would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

Kodi 18 is able to automatically switch the TV's resolution to the resolution of the video you're watching (doesnt work for IPTV add-ons or plugins).

Is there an IPTV or external player that can do the same? I have a 4K TV and the upscaling of the TV outshines any software scaling.

Mi Box 4 vs T95q. both are like 60$ cad what one is better/ safer buy?

I have a Sony kd-65x9000f running Android TV. One of the devices I have connected is my gaming PC. When not in use the PC goes to sleep. I would like it to automatically wake up when I change the TV input to the PC.

My first proposed solution is to have the TV send a WOL request to the PC when I switch to that input, using Tasker or some other app. Has anyone had any success doing something like this?

I have experimented with some more complicated solutions. I have Home Assistant running on a server and can change inputs to the TV and send a WOL request to the PC from there, but sometimes I just want to be able to pick up the remote and change inputs.

An alternative could be to possibly use Home Assistant. Is there a way of adding a custom app to the Android TV home screen that can send a Home Assistant command that can do what I want? This would actually be preferable to my first solution.

Like many. I'm a user of different streaming platforms and devices but am looking to bundle it all into one where I can.

The problem I'm having, which I can be the first, is there is almost too much info and too many options. I may be looking at it wrong but in a few hours of research I have added and deleted 5 different players to my cart.

So far I'm tossing up between:

• nvidia shield (seems to be a crowd favourite, but is aging)
• Amazon fire stick (sounds good but is it really)
• xiaomi mi box

I live in Australia, use kodi (watching sport mostly) , Netflix and stream local from pc using videostream.

May I get your opinions on where I should head.

I was wondering what exactly are the differences between the Chromecast Ultra and the built in Chromecast Ultra of the Xiaomi Mi Box S. Obviously, the Mi Box doesnt have an ethernet port, but this can be added via USB.

Is the built-in Chromecast driven by a dedicated CPU or does it run together with the AndroidTV system on the Cortex A53? Is there any difference in the behaviour/performance/streaming quality compared to an original Chromecast Ultra?

Downloaded Now tv on my Mi box using an APK. For some reason I am not able to Navigate through the app. Any Ideas how I can navigate through the app.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to gain access to my Mibox. It apparently had an update that installed and since then I'm completely locked out.

The biggest problem is that I lost my remote about 6-8 months ago and can't seem to track it down. Typically I connect via my phone, but it no longer sees it via WiFi and when I try to connect via Bluetooth, it initiates the pairing (shows the passcode to verify on both screens) but then fails to finish.

I've tried plugging in a keyboard, but it's not recognizing it. I even tried using a self powered USB hub, but it won't recognize keyboard through that either.

I also have a male to male USB cable that I've used on it in the past, but the update must have toggled off the debugging because I get an "unauthorized" error when trying to connect.

I feel like I'm out of options. I'm grasping at straws at this point, so I'm willing to try anything to get it back. Any ideas?

It worked at night now it's stuck on Android boot animation. The tv only has one physical button, when I press the power button during the in initia TCL load screen it goes into Android DFU (I think) but just says error.

I have disconnected everything, tried holding the physical power button down for 15-20 seconds then unplugging it (while it was on,per TCL support) still no dice. They said it's an Australian model so I need to call them but that's tricky.

Any advice?

Are there any apps that work on Android tv for the well known xx sites? I tried a few with Fire DL but they didnt work - maybe they are only designed for phones... Are there any that work with Android TV?
