I was wondering if there is a way to track the usage of my Android TV while I am away from home?

Just would like to know what all apps are being opened, what videos are watched etc.

For YouTube videos, I can have a look at the history, but the timestamps are not available.

p.s. Kind of a parental control, to check what the kids are doing.

p.p.s. Looking for a real-time or event logging functions.

Where do i start when setting up an a95 x r2 android box? So confused#!

I own two MiBoxes and a Shield and use Kodi with centralized mysql database for two users with a shared music/movie list and specific viewing status.

I want to keep it that way and to stay on the current version of Kodi 17.6 on all my devices as it works perfectly that way for my usage.

Is there a way the prevent Play Store for updating the app (by removing the app from Play Store list for instance)? I tried to sideload the app from an ATV apk, but it still appear on Play Store when installed that way...

May I add that I already set manual Update in Play Store option, I want to prevent accidental update if someday I select Update All or if my SO mistakenly try to update the app someday for some reason...

When I try to connect my tv to the home Wifi network (Wifi name :- DIGISOL) Internet doesn’t work at all and not even casting work. But when try to connect my TV with Wifi hotspot internet work like a charm and even casting work properly. I have checked my DIGISOL wifi network connecting with several devices and internet works properly but with TV doesn’t seems to work.

Hi, I have got a Xiaomi Mi Box S for Christmas as it was a neat little device that ran Android TV which I wanted to try out. Well just a few minuets ago I was using it and watching youtube and it froze and reloaded to the android boot screen. Well this has happened before so I pulled the plug and let it reboot back into Android. Well after that it gave me a green screen on youtube. Pulled the plug for a minuet and problem solved. Well now I was watching youtube and it rebooted and booted into recovery mode and said that my system was corrupt. Now i'm wondering what in the world is going on with my Mi Box S. I know this devices is supposed to get Android TV 9 and I think some of the problems are related to the specs being a little on the low/bad side. I think the RAM is being hit to capacity and it causing the rebooting thing. Either way should i be worried?

Hi everyone! So I bought an international mi box s and it should have 4k. But there's no such option in system settings. The maximum I found is called 4k2k 60hz and my Samsung TV shows 2160 resolution. Am I missing something? The older one mi box 3 I had before had the same maximum resolution. I am really confused.

My brother had bought a Vu 104cm Premium Smart TV... I thought it was android TV but NOPE. I think they're using a highly skimed version of android or at least linux. It does have Netflix and Youtube, plus Opera TV Store (now renamed to something else).

I thought it was an andoird TV, so I tried to side load apk, but the media file explorer could recognize anything which isn't media related (images, music or videos). I wanted to use JioTV (an android app) which provides access to a lot of Indian TV channels so my mom can watch some stuff while she's at home.

While Youtube and Netflix works, typing using the numeric keyboard is HORRENDOUS. It surprisingly has a Browser, but with the remote it's a PITA to use.

I was actually considering to buy one of those 'android box', or use android on Raspberry Pi (cuz I think it'll be cheaper with better performance). Is there anything else I can do to get android onto the TV? Hope I get some way to get what I want :(

I can't be the only one to think it would be cool to be able to use Google Earth on TV, granted it might be pretty hard to control with a regular remote but for those of us with game controllers it would be awesome.

Need Subtitle Help!!

Chinese subtitles are no longer working for me. I am using an android box with latest version of Cyberflix. When I choose play with subtitles, I can only get English through open subtitles and subscene. Makedie says “no data”, and Sub HD has the subtitles visible, but says “failures I extract, please choose other subtitle”for all the subtitles available. Also if I try to download them externally, it always say no subtitles found. This is the same no matter which player I use, and I’m experiencing this issue only recently. The subs used to work a majority of the time. If I try using subs in kodi, they work a little better but in general kodi doesn’t run that well for me. Can anyone help with this issue? Thanks in advance.

Have been trying to run Prime Videos apk on my MI TV, but no luck. Anyone got lucky with any version ? or a simple work around ?

I got a Mibox S and I like it but it's not very powerful and seems to stall and crash a bit. I knew this before purchasing that it wasnt going to be a powerhouse and I'll keep it for the other room. If I want an upgrade, what are my options? Is the nvidia shield really the only one worth going for? Or any others

The remove is Very important to me. I 100% want to be able to control the tv volume from it. Anything else it can do would be great. Do any have an "options" button to give you menu on youtube etc? Does the MiBox remote work with the shield, or Fire tv remote only?

Hi folks

I have recently purchased the latest top of the line TCL QLED 65X4US Android TV.

The issue i'm having is when I turn motion smoothing down to 1 or 0 (also called judder reduction) as I want to remove all video interpolation. When I turn it down it's fine for the duration of using the TV for that evening. However when I turn it off it has a glitch of sorts when I switch it back on. The judder reduction will still be on 1 or 0 in the settings but the soap opera effect is clearly back on by default. To fix it I go into settings and move judder reduction from 0 to 1 and then back again and it's then it works perfectly with no soap opera effect for the remainder of the night.

Every day I switch the TV on I have to go through same process in the settings menu which is making me believe my new unit is faulty or requires a software update of sorts?

I've tried mixing and matching different settings such as Android TV standby modes etc in addition to resetting all the picture settings by the issue remains. 

Any advice will be super helpful. SURELY this is a simple software glitch?
