I read a while back someone got this working, so I picked up one cheap on Black Friday. When I plug it in and connect the aerial nothing comes up in Live Channels, I'm guessing there's something more to it but can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks

I tried my usual "Simpsons, Plex" yesterday and I got a "I can't find The Simpsons on Plex On Vue right now".

So I exited the Vue app and tried again. Again no luck. I even tried just "The Simpsons" which normally brings up Plex as one of the options, but it's gone now. But they did add support for Vue, so that's something, right?

I'm wicked excited! Should be here this Saturday.

Hi guys, I guess some of you faced the same issue. I'm using a MiTV 60" (basically it's an Android TV and a MiBox too) and when switching to another app leaving Kodi (Jarvis) in background, going back to Kodi after just less than 20s Kodi starts from scratch: it has either been killed by Android or something in Kodi detected it was no longer in focus and autoclosed it (never sent that behavior using Kodi before). Does anybody have a hint? Any settings involved? Thx

I'm on the nougat beta 1028, and I have tried to cast through my new google home mini with no luck, it appears on Home, but after setup when you give it a command it either does nothing at all or "Built-in Chromecast" crashes.

I tried upgrading to the latest version both Google Cast and the Google app with no luck, also clearing the data and cache. Has anyone got it to work?

Just booted up Spotify on my Shield and noticed there was a small overhaul on the UI, it's slightly more aesthetically pleasing.

Where is AndroidTV? We have Shield, Mi box and the old Nexus Player. In addition Sony TVs and cable TV set top boxes. Is this where Google wanted AndroidTV to be by now? If not, why is it not more popular? Is this a platform with a future? If not, what is? I am puzzled why we don't see more models on the market...

I know it's been discontinued but it seems it's still being updated and I've found one for a decent price. Is this a good device to use for my bedroom? I don't care about 4K or gaming. I just want something reliable with Live Channels that can handle 1080p Plex video.

Hi, it's there any way to autostart kodi on boot but on background? I intend to stay at the Leanback Laucher but to use the recommendations from the kodi app. For that, the app should be already running. And I'm trying to avoid to click the remote to get back to the launcher. Thanks in advance

1-It does not update. It is always changing between "downloading" and "waiting to download"

2-The usb does not work. It does not read the usb with my files, and if I format it as internal storage, my computer does not recognize it to re-copy my videos inside

EDIT: ExFat works, it is recognized by both my computer and the Mi Box. So problem 2 fixed

I haven't had the Shield long, but when I first got it I noticed an extreme amount of lag on the remote. I just saw an update is available for the remote. It lets me update for a little and then I get an error every time. Does anyone have a solution?

I'm currently using my Shield to simply stream media (via apps like Kodi/Terrarium TV etc) over my WiFi. I never load media manually onto the Shield.

I've realized now that I really need a VPN. What exactly do I need to do to verify that my Shield utilizes my PIA VPN over the Wifi?

so I just recently bought the Mi Box ( I can return it) so just wondering…

I'm a very casual user thats going to watch maybe 2-5 movies/week on 1080p blu-ray type quality (2gb-5gb). Also, I have 0 interest in the gaming aspect of the box.

Will the Mi Box be enough or should I get the shield for over 2x the price?

Will the MiBox ever receive Nougat in the US? I really want to take it out for another run but if not I still have a Chromecast.
