I'm thinking about switching from play music to Spotify and the Spotify app is just so damn ugly, and inconvenient. I hate that all my stuff and recent listenings aren't at the forefront.

Is there a way to control the volume in Plex and Netflix apps with the Shield remote? I get a message that says the sound is in surround mode, use the TV remote.

Can I change this so I can still passthrough the sound, but use the Shield remote to change the volume? I hate having multiple remotes :)

My Mi Box does a really annoying stutter, any solutions? I've tried closing apps etc. It's been a year since I've had it but the stuttering has been about a month

Ever since updating to shield experience 6.1, directv now no longer loads past the splash screen. In 6.0, it worked perfectly. Does anyone have a working APK that works on SE 6.1?

Hey, on my philips tv the Netflix app keeps closing, without any error or crash notification. Anyone experienced this before?

Anyone know where I can source a new power cable for my Shield TV? ( Ireland / UK ) - the one I have is making electrical “hissing”/“buzzing” sounds all the time, even when on standby. I’ve resorted to not using it for fear of electrical fire or short , that and the fact that it’s irritating to hear all the time. It’s very loud.

I have troubleshooted and eliminated any other potential problems ( power socket, extension cord, loose wiring ) its definitely the power cable.

Tried the usual, Amazon etc. but no luck !

I have the mi box and when i play vidoes in plex it just stops and jump out into the homescreen of plex. It can be after 5 minutes or an hour. It doesnt matter if i use the kodi addon or just plex. What can i do to make it stop?

I've got a Bravia kd55x7005 TV which I guess is 8bit+FRC one. I've connected my Nvidia gtx 970 PC to it. What drivers / settings / software do I need to enable HDR on games / videos from my PC?

I am trying out a trial on my PC right now, and it's pretty awesome. All the local channels are available unlike other providers, it's also missing a few networks...if they could solve the app issue and add those missing networks Google would have a winner on their hands...this is coming from someone with the $35 DirecTV now deal.

Would it be possible? I currently have a MiBox but like my brother's firetv remote feel and functionality.

Any good apps to do a speed test? I have a gigabit internet connection, shield is hard wired over gigabit Ethernet, and the Netflix speed test reports 350M, Xbox One shows 40M down 600M up (wtf lol), but my laptop on the same cable will pull 900M/900M at speedtest.net

What USB Hub/Ethernet adapter works really well with the Mibox?

Is the android tv on this years sony tvs good? I am not interested in gaming, just streaming apps including kodi. I have a shield on our main tv and would like to get a sony for our secondary tv. Would the built in android tv be good enough or will I feel the need to buy another shield or other android tv box?

I'm trying to connect to a SFTP server on port 22 with my Kodi and while it connects to it just fine and the database show's all of my files, when I try to watch a movie/tv show my speed (according to my router) is only 600kb/s while on my computer from the same SFTP server I'm getting 30MB/s with one segment. Been scratching my head with this, what could be causing this and how do I remedy it, or should I just use regular FTP instead of SFTP?

Hi i don't have android tv, so i dont know how the platform works. I have two questions if you can help me. 1: Do dowload apps work (keep downloading) on the background if another app is open(foreground). 2. Will the download app close(download stop) if the tv is turned off(standby)... thanks

I have a Sony Bravia (XBR65X850E) and got IPTV which I'm streaming through Google Live Channels and TVirl.

TVirl is the only selected source in the options but for some reason there are an additional 135 channels showing up from 1-135. From what I understand those are the default antenna/cable channels on my TV.

Is there any way I can remove or hide these channels? I looked everywhere and can't for the life of me find the option, this is driving me crazy lol.

Anyone know if I can wake my Mi Box without using the remote? With my Shield, I can wake it from sleep by casting or using Spotify connect, for example. But mi box doesn't appear to be available to either of these services while asleep.

I have always left my Mi Box on 24/7 but recently discovered CEC so have it set to power off my TV and sound bar just with the Mi remote. Would be nice to still be able to wake it with a song from Spotify, for example though.
