I was considering buying the xiaomi mi box but I am still not sure if it can play them or not so does it or not ? If not is there an alternative in the same price range ? I am just looking for something that can play different formats and can play them from a removable media device.

Just picked up a Shield TV (2017 16GB) and love it. Curious if anyone has had issues with games not loading on GameStream? I have some that work and some that don't.

Some will show the splash screen when i hit load but then it goes back to my PC desktop. I can't figure out why and internet searches haven't come up with anything that helps yet.

Initially it was games where UAC needed the 'OK' confirmation. I'd have to run back to PC and hit yes then it would load. I disabled UAC to see if that wholly fixed it but same games still dump back to my PC desktop on the shied. If i go to my PC and manually load the games the shield picks it up and runs fine.

Seems bizarre it can't quite launch them properly.

I've tried moonlight and this does the exact same thing, but the mouse feature at least works on the control so i can launch games manually via the controller using it. Still not ideal though.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Edit: I have the 8Bitdo SFC30 model

I've tried to install a whole bunch of those, but it fails every time. Is this expected for current nightlies or am I doing something wrong?

I'm on a 4K MiBox, using arm64-v8a builds. I gather that's the right ones for a Cortex-A53.

EDIT: The v7a builds install well. Should that not be the other way around?

I noticed last week that YouTube could not stream content in 4K anymore. I turned on debugging information, it shows the optimal resolution for a 4K video as 1920x1080 (was 3840x2160). I tried Netflix too. Same result.

Did this happen to anyone else?

What is the best streaming box to get? I currently have a fire tv 1st gen and am looking to get a new box that streams at 4k. Any suggestions?

Just got my shield tv and having issues adding libraries to kodi. I keep getting a 'connection to server lost' or something to that effect when it's trying to add the folder and scrape data from tvdb. I constantly have to hit 'try again' and it keeps going but it's losing the files that error.

I've had kodi on a variety of devices over years and never come across this issue.

Hopefully someone had same issue and can help.

I have two mibox and the remote control batteries ran out after just a few months, anyone else had the same result? I used good brand batteries (package didn't include them)

I've recently been toying around with my Xiaomi Mi Box and found a way to get mobile Google Play games put onto the box. I really enjoyed playing Power Rangers Legacy Wars and figured that maybe it'd be better played with a controller. When I opened it up I came to an update screen and even triggering the mouse toggle it wouldn't click or do anything.

So I was wondering if there was a way to map touch screen games to play on an Android TV. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi guys I have a Sony Bravia tv running 6.0.1 and 80% of the time I get a message that something has stopped working.

Has anyone else had this issue or how can I fix it

I tried disabling the notification of the app that's stopped and factory reset the tv.

My Shield TV it doesn't play any audio from movies or TV shows purchased from Google anymore . It worked last week, but when I went to watch Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Rick and Morty this week it is now silent.

I have audio in all the other apps such as hulu, netflix, amazon prime. I can even hear the UI click sounds in Google Play Movies. It appears to affect all purchased content or at least all of the ones I tried. Playing movie trailers work though. I tried clearing cache data for the app and still had the same problem. I did find that if I uninstall updates to Google Play Movies the sound comes back. Once it updates, the sound goes away.

I tried casting from my Galaxy Tab S3 and there was audio.

I don't have any special setup, just HDMI connected to receiver. Any one else seen this before? Suggestions?
