I'm not in the US, so I can't download directly from the Play Store (which is weird, because I can download Kodi and a very old version of SPMC). When I go directly to the github download page for SPMC I find 6 different APKs available to download. Anyone know which one is the correct one for my Mibox?
Thanks!
The official TCL remote with functioning voice search unfortunately does not have a keyboard, which is a deal breaker. It's also too expensive for what it is (although I'd pay that price if it had a keyboard).
So I'm looking at this kind of remote because it has a mic, but I'm confused. The seller is kind enough to state upfront that it doesn't work with voice search, and one of the reviewers elsewhere on Amazon also confirmed it.
So if I navigate to the search box, and activate the mic, nothing happens? The audio isn't passed to Android?
I don't understand what the mics purpose is, if it doesn't work for voice recognition?
If the 'universal remotes with mics' don't work with voice search, what am I supposed to be looking for? What will work?
Thanks.
I bought a pair of Philips Ultrlite. Great sound. They work flawlessly with my phone, our BQ tablets, and my ancient Cowon J3 mp3 player. Once paired, I just need to turn the headphones on with the desired device nearby, and they reconnect.
The headphones also successfully paired with my new TV. They worked well for an hour - great sound and no lag (EDIT: Terrestrial Digital lags, but no delay when using Apps though). Then after turning them off for a few hours and going back later, they will now not reconnect to the TV, even though I can see the pairing is stored in the AndroidTV bluetooth settings.
In normal Android, you turn bluetooth on/off and it refreshes, looks for paired devices and connects automatically. There is no such toggle in AndroidTV. It appears that AndroidTV only seems to refresh and look for devices when you actually pair them in the settings menu. So to use my headphones, I have to delete and re-pair them each time (which is unworkable).
I'm going to keep the headphones to use with my phone/mp3player, because they're awesome for the price. But can someone tell me what I should be buying instead, if I want a pair of wireless phones for us to wear while watching our AndroidTV television? I'm guessing the answer will be to buy a much more expensive pair with a charging station base which plugs into the TV's analogue out?
So why do TVs have bluetooth, if not to connect to a pair of bluetooth headphones?
Thanks for any information or advice.
I've been considering buying a mi box 3 for IPTV streaming. It cost around 70 euros on aliexpress. However, this popped up on my emails and it doesn't seem that much worse for a fraction of the price. Seems like a good deal no?
