Especially with games features like Geforce Now, and games installed on the Shield. I originally planned to get a 500GB ShieldTV for a Plex server, but ended up building a NAS for it. I wonder now if 16GB is enough for games and stuff I could store on the ShieldTV

Does anyone know where to find (or have calipers) to measure the DC jack for the mi box MDZ-16-AB? I've had enough with this international adapter crap falling out of my wall, I'm willing to throw a few dollars at this issue with a new 5V2A supply from eBay/Amazon/china.

With my crap ruler it looks like a 4.?? mm x 1.??mm plug, I was about to buy a 5mm x 2.4mm but that's wrong. It would be awesome if some fellow mi box owner with a caliper handy or better google-fu could confirm the outer and inner plug dimensions. Thanks!

I'm trying to set up my nexus player to use OTA with a Hauppauge Xbox One tuner but I'm having some trouble. When I go into Play Store and click on the app there is no option to open the app, and the only options are to uninstall updates, full description, or flag as inappropriate. I'm not sure why this is happening. I've checked and there are no updates needed since I just bought it and updated everything to 7.1.1. I tried to uninstall the update for Live Channels and restarted the device but no luck.

Forgive my ignorance, as I am used to my Fire TV, so I'm still learning to navigate the nexus. Any help would be appreciated.

I contacted HBO Now customer service yesterday, asking about if they finally supported Dolby 5.1 on Android TV. They claimed they did, but then I remembered a month or two ago testing it when they claimed they supported it but then clarified that this was only on Sony Android TVs. I questioned further and received this:

Subject says it all! Possible to play this game on android tv with a controller?

TeamViewer Host version 12.1.6777 now crashes every time on my Shield TV ... it used to work. Any way to fix this?

Or some alternate remote access method?

My Shield is attached to projector only so I want to be able to set it up via my Mac.

Update: Looks like it's nothing to write home about. This update didn't bump up the Android version for me and it's still 6.0.1. Those of you who are not yet on 6.0.1, hopefully this update is going to bring some good news; meaning they might have fixed whatever bugs they had when they tried to release 6.0.1 previously.

The only positive thing I see so far is that it's on the April 2017 security patch level.

The only feature I really want is the ability to hold the home button and close recent apps; not in this update. Someday...

I am using a Nexus Player and no matter what show I select on netflix, I get the following message

"We're having trouble playing this title right now. Please try again later or select a different title"

I've force closed, uninstalled, reinstalled, installed an older build of the app and I still get the error. I am running 7.1.2.

Been having remote issues since getting this, the new remote with replacement batteries even after update would constantly freeze then respond with a flurry of activity since I had been mashing buttons to try to get it to respond. Ended up contacting Nvidia and sent a new one, worked for a little better than before but still laggy but then unpaired itself and will not re pair.

Bought one of the old recharge versions and its worked better but still goes through hours where will not respond.

any help? alternative remotes?
