Xbox One does not have a Spotify app, but Android TV does. Is there a way to have Spotify playing in the background over one of my HDMI inputs?

I've noticed that when in Plex the volume controls on the remote seem to work but the audio doesn't actually change, anyone run into this?

Question: Is the Razer Forge TV as bad as people keep saying? I plan to live mainly in Kodi and Pluto TV and I have zero interest in Netflix. I know the Xiaomi Mi Box is out there, but I'd like something with an Ethernet port. Razer Forge TV seems to fit the bill. Will it do what I need?

I was using this video and I see the TV on connected devices but can't find it under display settings and can't see option add wireless display. Is it possible that it works like that with Android tv? I don't know what am I doing wrong. Thanks in advance

So I got a MiBox for Christmas to replace my Nexus Player, however I'm having more issues with the MiBox than I did with the NP.

Last night I was using it and the remote randomly disconnected. It took a while to figure out how to reconnect it. It then disconnected a few more times. I had a similar issue with my Nexus player which is why I wanted to "upgrade".

I also have trouble with Kodi, it crashes nearly every time I try to open it. It works well once I get it open but often it won't open at all. Never had this issue on the NP.

Should I return it and get a different MiBox, should I get a Nvidia Shield or should I go back to the NP because AndroidTV is just buggy?

I'm curious if anyone has a good guide at how to get Mario Kart running on an Nvidia Shield TV? Didn't see anything available for purchase so I'm assuming it would be through an emulator but anything that is not a beast to set up would be greatly appreciated!

I've downloaded some movies and tv shows and can't remember what apps I can use to cast the media to my mibox. I'd like to still be able to use my phone in the background like when I cast netflix or YouTube.

Hi everyone, I have some questions about watching live TV through an android TV box. Many TV stations now have their own android apps which you can download on your phone or tablet to watch live streams of the content. For example, CNN, or Food network. Are all of these compatible with an android TV box as well? For example, the A and E app is not listed under the play store as a "Android TV" App, but it can stream live tv onto a phone (which then can be "cast" to a tv. If I got an android TV box, would I be able to take out the middleman of the phone and then having to "cast" it to the TV?

Hey Guys, I have a Sony Bravia Android TV. I downloaded Spotify and its working great but for one problem, every time I turn off and on the TV I have to log back in to Spotify. Has anyone else come across this problem? Its a real pain having to type my username and password in every time I turn on the TV and to be honest I'll probably just stop using it on the TV if I have to keep doing this...

Seriously, what a mess this thing is. Had some family over last night, wanted play some Christmas music. Fired up the app. As a subscriber I had a bunch of playlist recommendations show up. One was ”Christmas" the other was "Christmas Party”. Sweet, I thought, Christmas Party it is. I click on the icon, and nothing is there but a Christmas tree, no playlist selections, nothing. I try Christmas, same result. How can I play Christmas music I thought. so I went up to the search icon, clicked and typed "Christmas”. Boom there we go, a bunch of Christmas playlist. Music starts playing. After the first song I get an error saying it cant connect or something like that. At this point I want to chuck my TV out the window. It seemed to play the rest of the evening after that. The UI is clunky and counter intuitive, navigating your library is a disaster...Shall I go on?

Anyone else have this experience?

I just got both a mi box and a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort 35 Headphones for the holidays and am having trouble pairing the two. The headphones work on ever other device but are not discovered on the Mi Box. Is there an known issue with Bluetooth connectivity? Could someone else with the same set up let me know if it works for them?

I have a Nexus player with Android TV installed. I would like to view photos stored in a Dropbox account. I tried EsExplorer but it is pretty slow and requires a lot of clicking to navigate to the drop box folder. I also tried Kodi with the Dropbox plugin but the plugin just throws an error when I try to run it.

Are there any better ways to view photos from a Dropbox account?

I'm trying to migrate data to a 16gb USB thumb drive but settings keeps crashing when I click the "move now" option. I was able to manually move only SPMC to the thumb drive. Trying to move a second app to the USB drive the system says not enough storage space. Any suggestions?

Since I cannot get DTVN on my Google TV, I attempted today to try and "cast" from my telephone. Casting from the telephone to a Google Chromecast (1st gen) worked on the bedroom tv, but when attempting to cast to the Googlecast built into the TV, the video was not locking with an unviewable screen limited to the upper third. Appeared to incompatible resolution. Tested then with Youtube casting from the telephone to the TV an all was fine. Any thoughts?

A friend of mine has one of those non-androidTV android boxes that has a standard 4.4 launcher, is the ATV Launcher compatible with 4.4 and if not is there a simple launcher I could set up for them since they aren't too tech savy?

I got a Mi Box a few weeks ago. It seems to work as it should. The one glaring issue is that when casting Netflix from an iPhone or Android phone, the Mi Box launches Netflix and then demands for the user to pick a profile... using the remote.... which negates the whole point of casting.

Is this normal? If not, is there any known fix?

So this morning I found out that one of my Adt-1's was not working, so I used the power cord from the second one to see if it was the cord that was bad or the ADT itself. Good news is the box works, bad news is it appears to be the power cord that is broken. I am wondering is there anyone who would be willing to sell a power cord for it, or perhaps point me to a power cord that works with it instead.

Is there a list online for list of commands that can be used on Sony Android TV to navigate through TV.

Such as I found out if you change an input name to, for example Sky Q and say "open/ change to Sky Q" it changes HDMI source or if you say Open BBC 1 HD it will change to that channel.

This is incredibly handy. I would love to see other examples of commands available.
