I am able to cast youtube, netflix, gpm, chrome browser tab, android screen mirror, etc. When I try to cast any video stream from LocalCast it complains of a codec not being present or video file missing. Casting a local file has the same problem, but either way the app does appear on the tv, just no video play back. Also tried AllCast and videostream for chromebook, same issue.
Anybody else experienced this and has a solution? System is up to date, tried reboot and factory reset.
EDIT: I have tried many different video streams and local files, all of which do not work. But all of which do cast just fine on my Chromecast 2.
This is the LocalCast error reported: http://m.imgur.com/2PVCjVb
I was looking to pick up a couple of inexpensive gamepads to play some emulated games with my kids. I ordered a pair of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014KM80A0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 , but unfortunately, it appears your android device needs to be rooted. I didn't want to spend too much, because than I would start to reason, that I should just be buying a NVIDIA shield which comes with a controller for just $199. Anyone know for sure if there are $20 controllers that would work?
Thinking of getting this box, anyone got one of these? http://www.gearbest.com/tv-box-mini-pc/pp_471367.html?utm_campaign=7988612&utm_source=cj&utm_medium=affiliate&from=affiliate_cj
Also, can you install an Android TV Rom on these boxes? Thanks
Curious to see how it handles simple games on PPSSPP such as:
MHFU
Monster Hunter Portable 3rd
Persona 3 Portable
Little Big Planet
Or anything really. I haven't found a single shred of evidence that anyone's posted results. Alternatively, if you can direct me to a video or something instead I'd be grateful. Any input is appreciated.
PS1 footage available here.
I've already probed /r/EmulationOnAndroid, no luck there.
