A long awaited bug fix was included at the bottom (it has worked on the mobile app forever, but was broken on Android TV)
They also added a setting to play next, similar to how Netflix has it implemented. The UI shows a small picture in the bottom left of the current video, and next to it a larger picture of the next video with a 10 second countdown and episode synopsis to the right. My favorite part is that this takes effect even when playing from the "On Deck" bar.
This is not toggled on by default though. You need to toggle it in the settings.
Hi guys, I'm really sold on the Shield TV since it got everything that I want.
However I'm really concerned about the compatibility of the beIN CONNECT app, which is a subscription based service to access the beIN sports channels.
I would like to ask you guys for a huge favor, would you please try to download it and try to run the free stream (beIN news).
I've sideloaded into my fire tv. The stream works but doesn't go full screen and the quality is super bad, while it works flawlessly on android phones.
The link to download it is:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ptv.bein.mena
And the app name is beIN CONNECT.
Please help a bro guys, I would be really grateful for your efforts. (posted on the shield tv subreddit hoping to get an answer to assist me in making the decision)
Hello. I have seen some stories about these RCA TVs
All it says is that they will be released in June. Has there been any news on when in June exactly? I'm looking to buy a cheap 4k TV and am pretty interested in this set. Also any opinions on if it's a good enough TV for $499 for the 50 inch.
Hi,
So this is my experience so far with Android TV. I'm a client to French ISP Free and the plan includes a "FreeBox Player Mini", which is a 4k-ready AndroidTV box.
The good:
The bad:
The ??:
The experience has been rather underwhelming. I was expecting very much of it and am a upset. The really bright side is that Kodi works wonders and I can stream my movies without any issues.
Somehow, I feel like I'm missing on something. What are you using your Android TV for?
PS: I prefer a comment to a downvote ;-)
