Hey folks,

Im thinking of buying a new TV which will be a Philips. Now theres two models in which I am interested however there is one question I have. Both TV's are similar, one is just a newer model which comes with Android TV 7.0 out of the box but is $130 more expensive. The other one is the same but an older model with Android TV 6.0. Is it possible to upgrade 6.0 to 7.0?

I've noticed over the past few days some serious lag on my Nvidia Shield. Apps take forever to open, system menus are very sluggish, among other things. I've had this issue in the past, and the Plex Media Server turned out to be the culprit, but clearing and disabling it is not fixing my current issues. A reboot will fix this temporarily, but I'm looking for a permanent solution.

Is there any kind of way to easily display current CPU usage to see what apps may be hogging my processing power?

I'm really interested in getting a tuner and antenna for football season, but before I throw down the money on a TV tuner I want to see if it works with the Mi Box.

I've been searching, gotten mixed results. I've read great things about the HDHomeRun but I don't know if something like that is still necessary after Nougat.

Someone earlier this week made a post claiming they were just able to add a Prime video channel but I am not able to even after my Prime updated yesterday?

Can anyone confirm this really happened and how did you do it?

Hey everyone, I'm a new owner of a Shield, and trying to find some online multiplayer games that people actually play.

I've tried 10 or so times the last couple of days to find an opponent at NBA Jam, but was only successfully matched against someone once in online play, which I assume means no one plays this game.

Could you point me in the direction of games people actually play online for Android TV?

Ex. Launch Plex on atv will start this app.

When you purchase and setup a Mi Box 3i w/Kodi, do you automatically get access to Netflix & Hulu or do you have to have Netflix & Hulu accounts in order to view those services?

I have a Nvidia Shield 2017 model 16GB running Oreo update. Live Channels 1.17.4 is installed. When I connected the Hauppauge USB TV Under model 1595 it won't load Live Channels application. I downloaded and installed Haystack and tried that way it still won't find the tuner. I tried both USB ports - same issue. I even connected another Shield running Oreo - same issue. What am I missing or this specific tuner no longer compatible? If so which one is. Thanks

I have a Sony x90e, and its connected to the wifi network. same as my laptop. Ive connected the laptop to a second monitor, but want to cast the same to the tv too.

Ive tried going to the settings and adding the tv, even then the laptop isnt listed in the tv's devices, though my android phone's easily listed. Im not getting the option to project to tv from the right side devices popout menu.

Im using windows 8.0 64bit, and unfortunately chrome isnt working for me. I can only use firefox. Please tell me what im missing guys, i have no difficulty casting from the phone.

Few days ago my android box I had took a shit on me. I only used it for Emu games. It was not the best around but no longer will boot for me. So I was like what the hell time for a upgrade. So what i am asking is some recommendation on what to get. Something under 50$. I will go as high of 100 if it is just way better.

Guys, I am trying to create a VPN profile on my Android TV (Mecool Pro L) and unable to enter server name or IP. Do I need to use a keyboard? Also, Android is forcing me to create a PIN or password. I have tigerVPN and unfortunately they do not have an app for android tv. What's the workaround? I do not want to pay for another VPN service. Thanks.

I'm looking for a box that has the following:

Google certified

2 USB ports that can support 2TB each

4K support

Chromecast enabled

I will be using it for Kodi, Netflix and DSTV Now [a South African streaming app].

I currently have a myGica box which works fine, but it's not Google-certified and doesn't have chromecast. I currently have 2 external hard drives connected to it with 4TB of media that I access via Kodi.

I cannot use Chromecast anymore to add on to the disappointment of not using the remote file transfer. It's connected to the same network but it cannot get picked up. No chromecast, file transfer or remote service via wifi
