Found a used 2015 Nvidia Shield online for 54 bucks any major difference between it and a 2017 model I should take into consideration?

I have a Sony Bravia X750F, 55-inch, running Android 7.0 with Android TV. For some reason, Sony has decided that only their $2,000+ "Triluminos" TVs are compatible with Bluetooth headphones. When I try to pair Bluetooth headphones or speakers to the TV, it doesn't even show them in the Bluetooth pairing menu. I'm able to pair other Bluetooth devices like a game controller or keyboard just fine.

Is there any workaround to this blatant lockdown with no real technical limitation whatsoever?

I am unable to use Miracast on my M8S Pro L. Can someone guide me through it ?

I dont watch cable on the TV but i frequently change input sources (HDMI). is there a way to reprogram my remote's button to say, number pad 1,2,3,4 to HDMI 1,2,3,4 respectively?

I've tried downloading moviebox and showbox to the android TV, they just have a bunch of ads and are unreliable. I just thought it'd be nice as it is fairly easy to navigate.

I tried Kodi with Neptune and they don't really understand how to click through the sources to find the best source that won't lag or just freeze kodi itself.

I even tried running a plex server or emby server from my place...

Is there anything simpler? They've done so much for me and now they're retired, I want to do this for them.

I just discovered by accident, that when connecting my Mibox3 to my living room Panasonic TV, I can control the Mibox interface with the TV remote. I can move between menus, go back and press enter, so you can perfectly watch any content in the Mibox without using its own remote.

It appears that when the TV source is set to one of the HDMI inputs, the TV remote commands go to the device connected to it.

Is this commonly known functionallity? I haven't heard of this before.

Terrarium tv and mobdro struggle through life. Remote is janky and kinda works when it wants too. Constantly dropping WiFi connection. YouTube audio stuttering and popping. Factory reset while on Oreo has bonked so much stuff, what am I missing here?

I have 65-inch Philips TV with Android. Is it possible to zoom out picture size when watching over-the-air broadcast? I cannot find such settings in the menu of TV. Reason:

There are still many low quality SD channels in the area where I live that look horrible on big screen. Also my room is not too large and while I prefer gaming and movies watching on big screen, I would like to watch other content in smaller size.

I've read it is possible to control the Mi box with an IR remote but I can't find any instructions on how to do it. I have paired universal remote controls with TVs before and this normally involves entering a code which is specific to the TV onto the remote and they are paired. I can't see how it is through the usual pairing AndroidTV mechanism to add a phone or BT remote. Any pointers appreciated.

I don't know why, but today I noticed that the VPN I am running on my Mi-Box is getting completely useless speeds, e.g. 5-13Mbps, while my connection is actually a 100Mbps (very stable).
I used to get proper speeds, so I am not sure what happened on the Mi-Box to cause this.
I am running the 2175 Oreo build with the Wi-Fi fix, but also had this issue on 2174 without the fix.
Anyone else experiencing this issue?

When I plug my PS4 Controller on my TV Box there is no sound coming out of the TV

I plugged a headphone into the dualshock's jack and the sound came out of here

when I unplug my controller or play with bluetooth no problem the sound comes out of the TV

My problem is that I want to play with the DS4 plugged while enjoying the sound coming out of the TV.

I have already tried the menu option of the PS4 to change the output mode of the sound of the joystick but it does not work.

I've upgraded to the latest version of Oreo. After the upgrade to Oreo the voice mic stopped working. Is there a way to fix this without having to perform a factory reset? I don't want to spend an hour installing everything again.. bah. Tried to remove the remote and reinstall, but without any luck

Does xiaomi fixed all issues (especially the major ones ) in android 8 Oreo ? What is your experience with this? When android 8 update will leave the beta (I’ve heard that they remove android 8 because users reported a lots of serious bugs) Would you recommend to install android 8?
