I have the AirTV box (built in Chromecast) for my Sling service. It works pretty well, however, whenever I tell it to open my Plex Server from my cellphone, it will pull up the Plex loading screen and just keep loading on my TV and eventually error out. I don't know what I possibly could have changed, it was working great. I recently updated my Plex Server on my PC, not sure what that could have changed.

I loaded it from my Sony Plex App on the TV and it worked fine. When I stream it to the built in chromecast, it does not.

I have a shield, a samsung (dumb) tv and a vizio sound bar. I have been scouring the web searching for a remote that will do all the regular remote things but allow me to program the power and volume buttons to IR.

I have found many options that will let me do just the 4 colored buttons at the bottom of the remote or full on switch between IR and wireless control via usb.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Has anyone else experienced issues with the YouTube TV app only streaming at low resolutions ? (240 or 480)

I'm running it only the shield and a 480 resolution doesn't look that good on a 4k TV lol.

I just purchased a new Nvidia Shield TV Pro, and everything is running well... Plex, Kodi, SPMC, Gamestream, Moonlight...

But the Netflix App is unusable. The video is stuttering every 2 seconds, and it's not a network issue. Is there a setting I can change in order to fix it?

FIXED: Changed the HDMI Settings from best to the same settings but manually selected (1080p, RGB 8b, 59,9hz)

Casting from chrome browser on pc to Shield is flawless. I need another console but don't have the cash for another Shield. Is the mi box as good as it at casting from pc?

I want to free up some RAM out of the 2gb available on my sony TV (512mb of those are reserved).

I'm a longtime MiBox owner who has just discovered the world of retro gaming on Android TV. Although I'm generally happy with the MiBox, the discounted pricing that's now available on the Nvidia Shield has me tempted to upgrade. Can anyone tell me whether the retro gaming experience on the Shield is substantially better versus the MiBox?

I have Sirius app installed on my Sony Android TV, but it only shows up way off on the right of the Featured row and not at all on the Apps row. I've tried restarting, but to no avail. Any ideas?

I have been trying to research this for a while but I am having trouble finding any threads/articles related to my specific need. I have a Shield TV 2017. I also have few other IR devices. Currently to control these, I am using a Harmony Hub...but I HATEEEEEEEEE the Harmony hub/controller so much and I want to stop using it/find an alternative.

All I want is a universal remote that has Bluetooth support so that the Shield TV will be able to use it. I don't want any special features or keyboards. Are there any suggestions?

I tried using my old PS3 BD Remote which has Bluetooth and would be a perfect candidate...but, android requires a pin when setting up Bluetooth and I have looked all around the internet and I cannot find a PIN that works. I am not sure if the PS4 remote has the same issue.

was wondering if anyone could tell me if there was a twitch app that supported bttv emotes & twitch chat also dark mode. currently im running 4.5 sideloaded non android tv app on my nexus player i have tried pocket plays sideloaded but seem to be slow compared to the offical twitch app if any suggestions would be great thanks

So Sony is totally useless on this issue, but my android guide is all messed up after working for a few weeks. Every channel is listed twice, and you cannot scroll down, only up for some reason.

Picture of the problem in comments. I have tried resetting, force stopping and deleting the apps cache and data. Nothing works, it’s not going away. Anyone know what may cause this glitch?

We all know how horrible the new YouTube (web) app is. But the most annoying thing about it is how it cant stay in the background and has to start up with splash screen everytime we open it, even on powerful device like Shield TV.

I've been browsing through this sub because I'm thinking about buying a Mi Box but I haven't found any clear explanation on wether you can actually connect an external hard drive and make it work with a torrent client (hopefully one with rss support). Does anyone have any update on the subject? Should I be looking for another android tv box? Does anyone recommend something in the same price range that can do the same?

Just as the title states, I have a Nvidia shield tv and I use the Android TV app and for some reason it won't open. It just shuts down. I've never had a app do this. Curious if anyone else is experiencing this? Thanks.
