I was thinking about (not for sure) on getting a new remote for my nexus player i think its still a great device when i got it for 25 bucks at the time. i was looking at a nvidia shield tv remote or something down the lines of it i read on some threads how it works with the nexus player just fine im gaining a headphone jack and think rechargeable battery spouse to coin battery's but think im losing listening always on? any thoughts or just keep my nexus player remote for daily use as long with my qq tech keyboard

I wanted to see if anyone had success with this. I have mupen64 set up on my mi box and emulating with a 360 wireless receiver for a controller. I'd like to make multiplayer work but haven't been able to. Anyone have a configuration that works?

I'm trying to setup a kiosk with an Android box and a 24" Planar touchscreen monitor (standard USB hid multi-touch touchscreen) and I currently have a MX 4k Pro Android box, but I am unable to get it to work after adding an IDC file to /system/usr/idc. I think the kernel may not have multi touch support.

I don't even care if it's an older android box, I just need USB touchscreen support. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Not sure if I am missing something but seem to be having trouble getting any usb controllers to work with my MiBox. First I tried my PS4 dualshock over us(works with my Nexus player). No dice.

Then tried my new RetroLink N64 usb controllers. Same thing. Totally unresponsive.

Any thoughts/suggestions on getting usb controllers to work with the MiBox?

I have a wireless mouse and a USB storage device both working through a USB hub.

hi Q1/ I am unable to change the display resolution within system settings for Kodi 17. It is currently set at 1920x1080p, I am trying to change it to 3840x2160p but the option is grey , The 4K tv I am using is the Vizio P55-C1. I have Kodi 17 installed on the Xiaomi Mi Box. I have the resolution set to 4K 60Hz within the Android settings for Xiaomi Mi Box. Q2/ what is the best 4k video player for Xiaomi Mi Box ? Q3/ how to know that HDR is working in kodi ? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, just bought a mi box and was excited to try out the fusion add on I keep hearing about. I followed the directions i found online. When I get to the step of installing from zip drive and click on fusion nothing shows up. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

were any improvements made for games on the mi box vs whats available/works for the nexus player? its growing close to time to get something new for an android tv experience. not really sure i want to jump into the cost of a shield tv, so the mi box may be my only other option.

Is there any news about a newer generation Mi box(International Version) launch anytime soon? This is considering that the Mi box 3 international version was launch around Oct 2016.

First time posting here, sorry if this is a newb question. My wife is finally catching on to the Android TV functions of our Sony XBR43X800D and asked me to find the CW Seed app for her. Well, it's not available through the Play Store for ATV, so I jumped through the hoops and installed a sideloaded copy of the phone app. I am launching it through HAL and after setting the Force Landscape option in settings, it displays beautifully. I can't control it or get it to play back at all, though. The top scrolling item can be scrolled left to right, but I'm unable to select anything. I also cannot scroll down or access the app's menu. Is there any hope for making this app functional on the TV?

Hi, new to plex on android after using on Xbox and roku and was wondering if there's anyway to switch servers using the remote direction button? ATM you can do everything else but need to switch to curser to get to the server tab.

Most advanced Android users would already know these tips. After posting this as a suggestion a few times across different platforms and recently here on a Sony TV thread. I thought of posting these suggestions in a thread of their own.

WARNING: Do NOT accidentally or willingly ENABLE the option that says "Disable HW Overlays" while in Developer Options.

Enter the "Settings" Menu for you TV. Find the "About" section, look for "Build Number" or for "Build", and click or double click on it until the Developer Menu becomes activated.

Return to the Settings Menu, and find Developer Settings/Options, and turn all animation settings (there should be 3 of them under one of the menus) OFF. They're usually set to 1.0, change them to 0.

On Sony TV's they're titled (Window Animation Scale, Transition Animation Scale, and Animator Duration Scale). Turn all of them OFF.

More Importantly - Scroll in the Developer Options/Settings until you find the Background Process Limit, usually set to Standard Limit. Sometimes named differently, but you want to limit the processes running in the background to a maximum of 4.

Restart your TV, and give it a few minutes to settle down all background processes after the restart, check the developer options again and make sure the settings you applied are still configured. Sometimes limiting background applications resets to Standard Limit after restarting the device. If so, you need to apply this setting after every restart to the device (switching the TV on and off with the remote is not the same as restarting the device) and you need to change it again back to a maximum of 4 background processes.

Enjoy a much smoother Android TV experience.

Every time when I switch on the Sony Android TV, I need to manually connect to the configured wifi. Is there a way can we enable Autoconnect for wifi connections. (Sometimes it works, but we have to wait for about 3-5 minutes to happen)

hi i have a chance to get a 2nd hand nexus player for a cheap price i loved the nexus player wn mi box wasnt around yet in the begining of 2016 there were some things that i hated but one in particular a weird sound bug which was a huge annoying thing with music or videos it was on android 5 thn 6 is it still exists or have a solution? tnx
