ePSXe on Nvidia Shield

Hey all, I have Googled this and can't find my answers.

I bought ePSXe for Nvidia Shield and got Tekken 3 loaded up but the input lag is unbearable while using the stock Nvidia Gamepad. Also, my FPS is limited to 50, but I'm seeing YouTube videos of people running games at 60?

I tried Crash to see if it was a one game problem, but Crash won't even detect my gamepad (even though it's detected and configured by ePSXe)

So as far as set top boxes go, shield and xiaomi are currently my only options? Been using a cheapie version but I just subscribed to Hulu live and it heavily relies on touchscreen interface so my remote has been rendered useless.

Surround Sound Not Working

Hi, I have recently purchased this android box, and have it hooked up to a SONY DAV HDX475 system. We have tried running an optical audio toslink to mini toslink cable, but that didnt work, and neither did the 3.5mm stereo plug to RCA cable we tried. Have we been trying the wrong cables? Any suggestions on what to do?

Got the LeEco Super4 X55, do I really need a Shield or any other streaming device?

I understand that there might not be any updates given LeEco's situation but I mostly watch Netflix in 4K. Would a Shield really improve the streaming that much to justify the price?

Also bummed that the TV doesn't have the amazon video app so I might consider that a benefit of getting the Shield.

Hi guys

What do you recommend for a VPN to use with a Sony Android TV. VyperVPN seems to work well now including with Netflix allowing you to change some regions though speeds are affected.

Any other recommendations?

LeEco firesale at Walmart. 55", $349

I know, I know...get a shield instead. Yes LeEco is a dead company and you won't get any support.

But if you're a gambling person, great set with built in AndroidTV (will forever be stuck at 6.0). It's $349, not $1349, so I'm not super worried about warranties.

Here are some reviews, so judge picture quality for yourself: http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/leeco/super4

For me it's fine, but I was just looking for something that didn't suck and was cheap. Here's my personal opinion on it after 2 months of usage. The exterior design is gorgeous only bested by high end Samsung and Sony. It basically mounts flat to the wall. None of the other cheap brands were remotely this thin or well designed. Not TCL, Hisense, or Vizio.

My wife loves the single remote with built in mic to control everything. People tend to think these things are minor details, but is a huge deal in our family. Whatever chip they have in there has handled all videos I've thrown at it without a hiccup. Previous Nexus Player and returned MiBox stuttered on some shows I had previously recorded on a WMC HTPC. Kodi and Plex work wonderfully on it.

Cons. Dead company. Off angle viewing is mediocre. Has a weird bug that throws the date and time off which messes up the Live Channels guide. I eventually switched to just using the HDHomerun app, so it's fine for me, but be aware of this annoying issue. Has a bunch of weird LeEco apps on the homescreen you can't get rid of. It's annoying as shit.

In short, at $498 (what I bought it for), I thought it was fantastic deal. At $349, it's a steal and in my opinion, no combination of TV + external box remotely comes close in terms of picture quality, value, and design.

Android Integrated Smart TV or Shield?

Hello all,

I'm looking to build a nice living room set-up and have completely fallen in love with Android TV since finding out what it is. My original plan was to buy a 4k Smart TV and then have a PS4 for gaming with friends and possibly an HTPC (plex machine) hooked up to it. Primarily I use Netflix, but I am experimenting with PSVue as shows on Netflix keep disappearing.

My ideal TV is a 55 inch 4k HDR TV with low input lag and high refresh rates (120hz?) for around $600-$700. I know those specs and prices don't go together very well which is what I'm asking below.

Would you all recommend that I save up for a Sony/Sharp Android TV or go buy a Vizio (or something along those lines) and just pick up a shield? I'm somewhat new to this so excuse the noobness.

Nvidia Shield audio flicker

This only happens maybe 3 times per episode (22 minute episodes on Netflix, but it occurs in any app I try) where my audio will hiccup with no sound for .5 seconds. I know this is such a minor thing but it's kind of annoying since it happens several times every episode. Any idea the problem? I made sure my HDMI cable is secure, rebooted, and tried out different apps.

Downloading torrents to NAS using Nvidia Shield

Hello, i've been using my Shield tv to download torrents remotely via the t torrent app. The default saving directory is set to a folder in the internal storage but i would like to set it to a folder in NAS mounted to my Shield. When i try to do this i get a message that the folder is read-only and that i have to grant permission to the app to write on the NAS. The problem is that i am not able to access the root directory of my NAS (only it's sub folders) and therefor can't grant write permission. I think that's the problem but i'm a bit lost... Can anyone help?

BBC iPlayer, Channel 4, Channel 5 and ITV

Hi Guys,

I have a Sony android TV and I live in Japan. All I want to do is install BBC iPlayer, Channel 4, Channel 5 and ITV on my TV. Do these apps exist for Android TV? How do I get them and install them? I have a VPN on the TV which I use to watch Netflix. The google store app doesn't seem to work when I have my VPN on though, I initially thought if I accessed the google store with the vpn on I could download the apps, but to no avail.

Ive been looking around and is it true there is no BBC iPlayer for Android TV?! Surely this isn't the case?!

Anyway, any help would be much appreciated

Cheers Qu

Spotify, Mibox and casting?

I can't seem to cast spotify from my phone to Mibox. It just doesn't give me the option to cast. All other apps see Mibox as a chromecast device. Is this a spotify issue or a mibox issue? Anything I can do to rectify this?

Edit: It does work but one needs to install the spotify app to mibox first!

Nvidia Shield TV 2017 - Any way to change wallpaper?

Like the title says, am I missing how to change the backdrop on the home screen? Currently it seems to be stuck on the "green blood cell" type image.
