Im currently out of US, and I cant find anywhere the new 3.0.0 apk for Pandora Radio for TV, can someone located in the US and with the needed skill set provide me with an apk? Currently using 2.0.10, because that apk is available and downloadable.

I've noticed when I'm trying to cast (photos, videos) from my phone to the mi box picture quality is very poor and pixelated. But when I just use the chrome cast dongle (same TV, same WiFi network) images and video quality is far better. Obviously don't want to have to use the chromecast for just casting when I have the mi box, any suggestions?

Hopefully an easy question. Does anyone know if Sony have different model numbers for the same TV's? For example the model number on mine is KD-55X8500C, however I can't find any real "international" information about it, only some stuff on the Australian site. Is this a different model number elsewhere, or is it just not as popular elsewhere and other model numbers are actually different models?

I just got prompted to upgrade earlier, turns out it is 7.0 . I have the XBR-x43800 if that makes a difference to anyone. The settings menus are now vertical, and overall the TV seems much more responsive. It had so much input lag prior to this I was debating getting another media box.

Hey Guys! So I've properly setup my Mi Box in my room. And I'm currently using Kodi to play torrented Movies/TV Shows on my external HD (plugged through USB).

So far I've just been using the file manager to access the files and open them. Good thing there's an option to play next file automatically.

I have a few questions:

1. Is there some way I can populate the Movies / TV Shows Library solely from the hard drive? I've been reading about it for a week now and I can't seem to find any information about it. Like maybe can it automatically find video files (MKV) in a specific folder, and then manually add those to a specific library?

2. Regarding audio, so I mostly download BluRay rips for movies. Audio is usually DTS (sometimes DD5.1). For now, I'm just using my BT speaker but I plan to buy 2.1 speakers for it later on. Now, where do I plug in the cable?? On the audio out of the Mi Box or the monitor? Is there some way that I can manually set Kodi to send audio through the MiBox audio port?

EDIT1: Forgot to say, the Mi Box is offline. No internet in my room atm. I torrent stuff from my sister's condo, transfer to an external drive, and watch it on the Mi Box.

EDIT2: Solved it! Pre-scraped my media using MediaElch. Kodi Library for Movies/TV Shows are now populated. Weee. Sadly I can't seem to edit the categories per library but that's just a minor setback.

Nvidia Shield TV 2017 16GB model. I have a 64GB (58 formatted) USB 3.0 thumbdrive connected and formatted to be storage. When I try to record a show I get a message that says "DVR needs more storage."

Anyone run into this?

My media servers don't have internet access. I basically have a private network with a couple of old servers. I was accessing it using the WDTV box but it stopped working and I am looking for a decent replacement that can also use ethernet. The Nvidia Shield looks good, but everything I am reading says to use Plex which I don't think will work with multiple servers and a few Android TV boxes

Does this happen to anyone else? A possible work around? My plex server is on my shield while the media is on the my NAS so it gets a little annoying remounting my drive every time i have to restart my device.

For the last 2 months (on and off) I've been trying to setup text/keyboard entry to work with Mi Box through a mapping on the remote. I am looking for personal (online) help from anyone who is willing to spend the time to get it working with me.

I have an activity configured. I've enabled "text entry" for that activity. I've paired the Harmony Keyboard to the device. Through the phone app, under Activities, I see the keyboard tab.

The first problem is that going into that tab always brings up the pairing process on the phone app, even though the device sees the last paired keyboard just fine. After going through the pairing (again), I can use that keyboard tab to enter text keypresses to the device... that works (besides the constant pairing).

Now, I want to map one of the keypresses to a button on the remote.

The first problem is that I was not able to find a way to do that... at all. Doing my research, some recommended to add a "MS MCE Keyboard" to the activity. With that added (and paired), I can now remap the remote buttons to a keypress... but it doesn't work.

50% of the times, my remote just loses other key mappings (in particular the directional pad). The other 50% of the times, just nothing happens when pressing a keypress-mapped remote button.

Please help

Love the box though the only issue im having is trying to stream files to it. I tried airparrot but had limited success. Is there any other ways?

I was going to get Roku but don't think it does 3D content. So figured it might be better value to get an Android box.

I have an Nvidia Shield TV, with an external drive I'm using as "extended internal storage". Can I (after shutting the system down) duplicate this drive to another drive in some fashion? (I'm concerned that my current drive may be dying.)

On my Shield for Livechannels I used to have a full-screen guide- all of a sudden a few weeks ago it added forced categories on the left side- I can't get out of it. I always have the categories, it makes it almost impossible to navigate.

Before I used to be able to turn on and off the categories.

I tried uninstalling the Livechannels updates but the categories are still always there.

Anyone else have this problem?

So the nexus player is international, thought that may be something. So i have two OTA set-up on my nexus player. The antennae gets the picture but it get's no sound. I have two NP and the first works fine. I even switched the set-ups but still i get no sound on the international model. I even switched tv it got some muffled sound then just cut the audio. what could it be?

I'm probably never going back to xiaomi products for the way they handled updates with the Mi box specifically the Android Tv Box.

Is Netflix working for anyone with the O beta? I've been getting a network connection error. I've tired clearing the cache and even reinstalling the app to no avail. This is happening on both of my Nexus players.

Hi everyone! I'm new here and just got a 4K Sony Android TV. It's pretty great, but I hate trying to dismiss notification windows while watching a movie! For example, "YouTube just crashed".

My Google and Reddit searches haven't found me an answer yet, perhaps one of you knows of a way? I know I can disable individual all notifications, but I would rather never see any!

I can be in the middle of watching a movie on Netflix or Kodi, and my TV and shield will randomly (haven't checked yet to see if it happens at a particular time) turn off. I assume it's going to sleep because when I turn it back on it doesn't go through the entire startup as far as I can tell. I have had to enable developer options and completely disable sleep. Is this a common issue and what could be causing it? I have not seen much about it in a recent Google search.

Is it just me, or anyone else have problems with YouTube app. Sound is ok, but the image is shuttering all the time, no matter if it's 4k or 360p. It looks like watching a slideshow. (No problems on any other streaming app - 4k HDR Netflix, UHD Prime video, Play Movies & TV etc. works fine)

So I've been casting a lot lately and have a chrome cast and and mibox. The chrome cast works with no audio lag but the mibox is staring to tick me off with audio lagging when people speak. I've been casting project alpha to watch bizarre states and it sucks so bad on the mibox.

Anyone else have these kind of issues with other apps?
