I'm at my wits end. I have Fire TV and now a Mi BOX. I can easily save tv shows as favorites with Fire TV remote using the middle right button. Screen pops up with saving options including Trak.tv options.

There is no comparable button on the Mi Box remote to pull up that pop up screen and save tv shows/movies as favorites. Either I'm missing something or is there no option on the Mi Box remote to save in queues?

For the moment I go into fire tv, exodus, find a new tv series, and save it to favorites. Then when I go into Mi Box, exodus, the new series appears. I'm moving the fire tv to another room and don't want to keep doing that method.

Any help would be appreciated.

How do I deal with bad Roms I was playing a super Mario 3 ROM and noticed that on the left side there is a light blue all along the side of the screen that don't seem to be normal also there is some clipping on the bottom right and right side of screen edge ?

/ NES ROM super Mario 3/ Have you ever came across this before in this ROM or any other ROM ? How did you fix this is it an emulator issue or a bad ROM

So, i have a Mi Box connected to my Xiaomi Mi Wifi Mini Router set on the 5G channel and this Router is set as a Repeater trough cable, works really good, fast speeds. The only problem is that on the AndroidTV Remote app i do see my Mi Box but when i click it to connect it starts connecting but then it wont connect. Ive tried to change the security password from WPA/WPA2 to just WPA 2 and it didnt work. So what am i doing wrong?

I just purchased my first Android box. It is M8S Pro with Android 6.0. When I watch videos on Kodi, they are very dark. Does anybody know how to fix this? The brightness sometimes seems to go up and down (brighter, darker) but generally it's darker than what you would expect and dark scenes are borderline unwatchable.

I am watching on an LG smart TV.

I've watched Apple TV on my TV with no issues. Same with plugging in laptops or anything else.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Nothing has changed. I have auto updates turned off. All of a sudden (it was fine a couple days ago) casting just stopped working. There was an available update for Google Cast so I tried that and it still won't work.

Anyone else experiencing this or know of a fix?

Before the Krypton update (Jarvis?) We were able to lock like 3 most used apps in the video's part without clicking through the whole interface. Now with Krypton Every time you use a addon it pops to first place. Really annoying.

Anyone know how to "lock" addons in place or something of the like?

I have the required .pak and .wad files needed to play so that won't be an issue.

So I got my Roms and now I need a great working emulator with great visual ROM selection

I am looking for an emulator that has box art style tiles to select the game I want to play and can also save favorite games to top of the list.

Has anyone tried to run Plex Media server on the Mi box yet

I am having difficulty getting my Sony XBR-65X750D to get an internet connection. The TV connects to the Wifi network just fine, but is receiving no internet connection. I've had the TV since December and did not have any issues until a couple weeks ago. My connection on the TV would drop and I'd have to forget the network and then reconnect to the network. That usually worked and the TV stayed connected for a couple days. Now it will not connect to the internet no matter what. Again, no issues connecting to Wifi, just no internet connection.

I cannot find a definitive solution online anywhere and have tried changing my router to WPA2 Personal and also channel 9, but these did not work. FWIW my router is an Apple Airport Extreme.

Not sure why this started happening because I did not change any settings on the router or TV. If there is another subreddit that I might find more success in please let me know.

I'm a recent cord cutter and I'm looking to consolidate everything down to one box, rather than flip between a Playstation and an Xbox. We're going to go with Playstation Vue for our main TV service, and supplement with Plex, Kodi, etc.

I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on a Mi Box, with the intent of getting a Shield when my finances are a bit better. I read a few reviews of Playstation Vue on the Google App store, and it seems that it runs poorly on Android TV, but it also seems to be for an older version of the program.

I was wondering if anyone here had any more recent impressions of the program, and if the Mi Box works well for Vue, or if I should head in the direction of a Fire stick.

I am thinking about moving my Plex Media Server to a new Shield TV with a 4TB My Book as the HDD.

I have read previously that you cannot store the metadata for PMS files on the external, that they have to be located locally on the device. Is this true?

If so, would the metadata for a 4TB drive (hundreds of movies primarily, a few TV shows) be too much for the 16GB internal drive on the device?
