Anyone else experiencing this? I'll log in with my cable provider, watch one episode and then before I can play the next one it forces me to sign in again. Frustrated!

This might have been discussed but I think it should be shared again as it took me 2hrs to figure out a fix.

I have an Harmony hub that worked perfect with my Nexus Player.

Just upgraded to Nvidia shield TV 16Gb Gen2. Therefore, no IR btw.

When I added Nvidia Shield TV to my list of devices, the back button on my remote did not work. A few other "glitches" too.

The fix was simple: in Harmony when using the Hub, pretend your Shield TV is a Nexus Player. It will pair over Bluetooth and all the buttons will be fixed.

I tried the one i saw on apkpure, but it crashes when you try to start.

Anyone have an apk that works? I cant even figure out the casting from the phone app so need help.

Can the Nvidia Controller g1 pair with a mi box or Nexus player?

On the new Shield software with Google Assistant, does anyone know if the remote has some kind of speaker built in as well? Curious that since its "always listening," how do you get feedback from your OK Google command if the TV is off? Or do we have to wait for the spot for this?

I just accidentally discovered this. I know I and others have never been able to exit this app fully without opening another app first. Not sure if this is new or just something we overlooked. Either way, its a nice quality of life feature.

I'd love to watch some old movies on my CRT, I can use Netflix and Amazon Prime via my Wii or PS3, but I wanted to get access to my Plex library, problem is the PS3 is softmodded and the NoPSN version of Plex won't connect (even though allow insecure connections is set to always)...

So I wanted to know if there are any AndroidTVs that still support analog connections and Plex?

I'm getting random notification sounds on my Shield TV. They seem to sound like a wooden percussion instrument of some type. Has anyone else experienced this?

If so, how do I fix it?

Edit: ISSUE FIXED!

I noticed that the sound happened after every reboot when certain app recommendations would load. Notifications and recommendations on Android TV seem to be one and the same.

I used this as a tool to see what recommendations were loaded at the time the sound played.

Turns out that the NFL app was the source of the issue, and would play the sound every time the recommendation panel would update.

I will be sending the developers an email to hopefully resolve this permanently.

Hopefully this helps others looking to get rid of this very annoying issue!

Long time Roku user, Purchased a Mi Box today. Just curious if I'm missing something or not. Is there not a WWE Network or NBC Sports Network app for AndroidTV? If there is, I'm not easily finding it in the play store.

To the many, many users who reported issues with Mi Box, such as frame drops, Wi-Fi drops, Netflix title drops and remote disconnects: did last week's update fix your issues?

I'll give my report:

FRAME DROPS ARE DEFINITELY GONE.

I can now play 1080p video on Netflix and Kodi normally, with crisp image and fluid movement. No issues whatsoever regarding frame drops.

HOWEVER, now I'm part of the Netflix drops team. Titles will start to play, then drop to the "We're having problems playing this title" message. And this happens way too often, even though my network connection is solid.

As for Wi-Fi and remote disconnects, I've never had those.

So, I'm guessing with the Mi Box YMMV. Since the update fixed my frame drops issue, I'd guess I do not have a malfunctioning unit, and I'd stretch that to the assumption that most people don't. It's their system that is somehow faulty.

PS: If the three Mi Boxes you bought for your family work just fine, congratulations. We're really happy for you. But please respect those of us with issues. I know it's a $69.95 device for you guys, but some of us are abroad, and that's a lot of money.

Has anyone else noticed that CEC is no longer functioning after the new update on their Mi Box?

It's worked flawlessly since I bought it to turn on the TV when the Mi Box turned on, or change the input to the Mi Box input if the TV was already one, but since the update it has stopped working for me.

So my Shield TV is connected to my AVR and I have this issue that when I'm using Plex that voices are way too silent compared to the sound effects and I can't figure out why this is happening...

I've already tried different settings, I've also enabled and disabled audio passthrough from within the Plex app but it doesn't help.. The last time I watched Netflix it was fine, this seems to happen when I cast content or when I use Plex..

I was at Best Buy earlier this evening, looking to pick something up as televisions are on sale right now, and saw the Sony 850D, 55" 4K HDR Television with Android TV for ~$900. As I've been thinking about picking up the nVidia Shield TV and an LG 55" 4K Screen (sans HDR), this seems like a pretty decent deal.

The two apps that I'm planning on running on it the most will be Kodi and Need For Speed - No Limits.

Thoughts?

Can anyone with a gen2 remote confirm if there is a physical difference between it and Gen1? Just broke mine and I'm wondering if I should wait until gen2 remotes come in Stock or just buy a Gen1 now.

Hey guys. So, my TV is losing its wireless connection since the update today. While watching Netflix it suddenly disconnects. I've tried to restart router and reinstall TV.

Any suggestions?

Hey y'all. I just had my new Mibox delivered and after setting it up, everything is fine except one issue. When I'm casting a tab I see green lines on the left side of screen. When I mirror my phone I don't see those lines. Any ideas? Just to add, first night when I was casting from chrome it was perfect.
