I'm not sure if I'm imagining it but listening to the same song on YouTube sounds much bassier than the same song played through the Spotify app. It also sounds better if I stream from my phone via Bluetooth to the receiver than through Spotify on my Nvidia shield. Do I have he wrong audio encoding set or something? I only have a 2 speaker system (monitor audio bronze 5s), maybe Spotify is configured for a 5.1 system?

Direct Tv offers a lot of live channels for streaming on their website with a login. Has anyone found a workaround to look through and play these on an android box? I'm running a Nexus Player if that info helps. Thanks!

I just updated to 3.2 and Vudu magically appeared on my home screen, but when I enter into the rearrange menu I can't delete it as though it's a stock app (Google play/movies/etc.)

Is this just a bug or is there actually no way to delete Vudu?

Quick question I had -- I just ordered a Razer Forge box because of the sale they're having, and I'm wondering if I could use it to play DVDs or Blu-Ray discs. It does have USB on board, so I could attach an external drive; is there any software that can take advantage of that?

Does anyone know of a way to reboot the Shield remotely? I have VNC access at work to a home computer on the same network as my Shield. Sometimes the Plex server stops running for me when I'm at work and the only thing the fixes it is a reboot.

Just got the dolphin bar to use my wiimotes on my nvidia shield tv. However i cannot get it to work with Dolphin. I have been able to sync the remote to the bar, but not sure how to use it with the lastest version (5.0.xx). I really can't find any walkthroughs online, has anyone gotten it to work?

I have been using my Nvidia Shield's new features as soon as I got the latest update. Plex server has been running so great that I ended up buying a Plexpass and I'm thinking on ditching Kodi. But last night I noticed something that's pushing my OCD into overdrive. All my movies are 1080p, put Plex gives them to me at 720p. Almost all of the movies are played without any transcoding going on and I do not see an option to transcode at 1080p, but it does show options to transcode at 720p and below. My TV is 1080p ready and Kodi confirms that as well...Am I missing something?

With the new 3.2 update, will I be able to transfer movies and tv shows to the Shield TV (either an external HDD or the internal storage) from my computer.

I downloaded retroarch on my nvidia shield. The shield controller seems to already be mapped fine, as well as my buffalo snes controller. However I also have a buffalo famicom controller I'd like to use but I get an error that the controller is not configured, so I can't use it. If I can't use it, I can't map anything to it because I can't even navigate the menu. How do I manually get this controller configured if I can't use it at all?

By the way the controller itself works just fine for the shield, it is just retroarch that complains it isn't configured.

Simple question, I have an Nvidia SHIELD TV, and am looking for ways of controlling it from PC. There are remotes for Android, but nothing for PC and this is kind of annoying. Casting and controlling ala chromecast is a partial solution, but I'm really looking for an equivalent of ATV remote on PC.

I currently only have pluto tv as a channel source for live channels, but I use the live channels app instead because it allows you to pick and choose which channels to have on the program guide. However it always seems to default back to showing every channel rather than the ones I specify. Is there a reason why it does this? And how do I stop it from doing that?

I have a NTFS Seagate 2TB USB Powered External HDD, loaded with content. Whenever I plug it into my Shield TV, it comes up as 'Seagate External Drive' in the Storage options, when I click it on it however it is always saying 'Calculating' and I am unable to use it. I have no clue how to fix this, anyone else?
