From the Shield's app store, it only has the MLB At Bat app, not MLB.TV. I've tried to add it to my Shield Google account through my laptop, but it says the app isn't allowed in my location. VPN doesn't correct this.

Has anyone gotten it to work? The Shield is listed as a compatible device on mlb.com. If so, can someone post a trustworthy apk file for mlb.tv?

I've got a 2015 Sony with Android TV, it is on most recent firmware. I've found the menu has been getting laggy, ie, low frame rate when flicking up and down between apps, and also in apps like browsing inside Spotify and YouTube. Is this related to anything? Like too many apps or something?

On that note, can I delete apps like Stan, Amazon video, sbs on demand, etc that clutter my featured apps bar? I tried to force close "Sony tray" or whatever it's called, and turned notifications off, but it didn't do a thing.
I don't mind the top "what's on" bar but there's so many apps I just don't use and I really want to clean it up.

Ive had a search and a sub browse but haven't found much help yet, any pointers would be awesome. Cheers!

Investigating getting a new TV box and discovered AndroidTV. Just wondering if any of the Australians here (assuming there are some) have installed ABC iView, ABC KIDS iView and ABC ME? Do they work ok?

These are essential for any TV box for us.

My remote isn't working on some of the prompt screens, for example I can't allow a connection when I have navigated to the address on my network. I can toggle through some settings though, so the remote is working on some screens. I'm also having the same with my android tv remote app.

The goal is to transfer files to the mi box without setting up ftp (I don't like the idea of recording my computer login details on the mi box). Anyone been successful in doing this through airdroid or similar? At the moment I am using google drive, but the speeds are terrible.

I don't have a REAL android TV, sorry but i don't know where to post... I have one of these android reskinned boxes but it works in 4K 60 fps. I was wondering if there was an app that allowed me to view pictures in TRUE 4K resolution (in a slideshow) ? I have the google photo app but it looks like 1080p, not 4K. (My pictures are 5184x3456, shot with a canon 750d) any idea ?

When I go to the Home App it only lets me edit the "Backdrop" setting's of the cast enabled Sony TV. Any advice?

Hello. I was wondering is there a good android tv box that has range at about 50feet(maybe few feet more) from the router? I'm connected to the internet through my neighbour with usb wireless adapter, and I'm getting a solid signal at around that range.

But, does the tv boxes have that kind of wifi possibility? For example, I was looking at MINIX NEO U9-H android box and it's says that it's having a 802.11ac 2x2MIMO Dual-Band Wi-fi with antenna. Since I really don't understand much all of this, just how good(or bad) is this kind of wifi comparing to my wireless adapter(tp link wn822n)?

Looking to move my IPTV service to Android TV in the hope of seeing some performance improvements over my current Enigma2 box (Mut@nt HD2400).

 
The Nvidia Shield appears to still be the device of choice, so likely that will be the box I'll go for, along with my Logitech Harmony hub/remote.

1. I use Xtream Editor to manage my channel lists and generate EPG info, so can I just plug this into Live Channels to browse using a populated EPG?
    
2. Does Live Channels allow me to record channels and playback from USB?
    
3. Don't really like the look of the available 3rd party apps, so I'd prefer a 'stock' solution; I like the look of the Live Channels EPG. My solution needs to be wife-friendly, so she can just 'press red to record' - 'press PVR' to browse recordings (using Logitech Harmony).
    
   Does this all sound like something I can achieve?

Is it possible to connect an external HDD to a Mi Box and download things straight to it? Because what i want is to leave it connected to the tv and do everything from my desktop pc (or wherever). What is working for me now is that i have a dedicated laptop working as a Plex server with the external HDD and i send everything through utorrent remote. And cast to the tv via Chromecast.

I can't install some apps in my android TV. I can open APKs but the install button is greyed out. I've been looking for some solution for this but some that I've found are about disabling screen overlay which I don't have, unless Mi box has built-in one that I cannot find. I've been trying to install Showbox and Yesplayer but install button is greyed out. I even tried installing Kodi from aptoide but it has the same problem while I can install Kodi from playstore. So anyone had the same problem or any ideas at all? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
