Made by Google came out with daydream VR, phones, wifi, Google home, Chromecast ultra but I really want a Android TV box made by Google. I hope they announce one with the new pixels. Anyone know anything​. Google if you are reading this please...

For some ridiculous reason, Sony didn't put a mic in the remote. This is annoying because every search is voice-first. Can I use a different remote or add a microphone to the tv itself?

C'mon Nvidia - Let's get a timeline here. I'd like to invest deeper into the Assistant ecosystem, but I don't want a 110$ Google Home in my living room when you supposedly have an option in the pipeline.... NVidia Spots all over the place to integrate into my Smarthome cheaply and easily!

I just installed O beta on my NP and I personally hate the direction this is going in. Better recommendations would have been great but I hate this, it's not about getting used to it either.

Really google after promises of early 2017 on android tv apples ios gets it first?

I think that google is going to release a new reference device that has a mic built directly into the box so that you can have your tv always on and have it function as a google home with a screen. Considering Google's focus on google assistant and google home and the integration with the casting interface, I think this would be the next reasonable step for the platform.

There will probably be a blog announcing this changes but they showed the new experience for a brief moment during the live stream.

Im hoping to see the personal assistant on the Shield TV Nvidia has been talking about since the shield launch. ok google with a shield controller cant come soon enough

I have a mi box that is using wireless from an Archer c8 router, and service is 60 mbps. No ethernet as yet as it seems there aren't many reliable ones.

We stream a lot, and mainly have trouble with Kodi streams buffering, but not with mlb.tv and youtube.

With the kodi buffering, I have tried following suggestions to limit this buffering but it has not helped. Sometimes we have to jump to 5 different stream sources but it does not seem to help.

Is this mainly a source issue? I'm considering replacing the mi box with a shield tv. Will this more powerful device be able to stream kodi without the buffering that the mi box experiences? Or will we be in the same position with the mi box due to the sources being slow.

Do you guys think this is a Shield issue or is it my router? My other devices pick it up just fine. Any suggestions?

I got a new Shield TV that works great. The one issue I have is that when input the shield to sleep a few minutes later it turns back on. Since I have HDMI CEC that also turns my receiver and TV back on. Ideas?

So im hoping to drop my cable bill and go to just internet. Right now im on a TV,Phone,Internet package and its going up to about $175 a month... Way too much for me. Im hoping to cut the cord (insert Shinedown here). Did a bit of research and it looks like AndroidTV has a good amount of the major networks (mom likes to watch those) and plex support for my movie addiction. My question is what box to get?? There seems to be a lot ranging from $200 for the Nivida Shield down to like $30 from china... Sounds like the MiBox is good but wana here more opinions.

I sideload the HBO Go app on my Shield TV to get around the Xfinity lockout. Unfortunately HBO Go now forces the navigation to be locked in phone mode (probably to dissuade just what I'm doing), which makes reading the text very difficult.

Is there any way to force the GUI to take up the full screen? The video playback is fine.

For my TV I can get the update online for android seven, however it still is not showing up through check for updates is there any reason not to go ahead and install now? I guess i'm not sure why they're saying May 24 when I can download and install it now myself?
