I have a mibox I just bought and bought the ugreen ethernet adapter recommended by mibox users. I'm still having buffering with perfect player. Any recommendations?

I would like to ask a few questions to those who owned mi box. Or similar.

I have a problem with netflix app which volume control does not work. Youtube and kodi seems to use the volume control. But for netflix seems to go full volume even if android is muted. Is it something in the settings or the tv?

How can i turn on the box without the original remote? Can i do it via cec ? I got the remote working via cec but for controls only.

Whats the best android control app :] android tv kinda sucs

Ps. Installed updates around 400 mb and it now says up to date. Also updated the apps.

I understand the futility of this question without any clear information that I've been able to find. I have an old android box (Mk808b plus) which has been showing its age and lack of capabilities.

I want to get the Mi Box due to its 4k, hdr and chromecast capabilities, along with the ability for it to natively run apps on it. For $69 its priced perfectly. However it is now a year old and struggling to get Android 7.0 and so it doesn't feel right to buy it now when I feel a newer device should be coming out soon.

Would you guys end up getting one or waiting at this point? Shield for me is overpriced, chromecast ultra doesn't run apps within in. And certainly an Android 8.0 4K box with faster processor and possibly 3GB ram for under $99 can't be too far away right??

Cleared cache, rebooted, can't get anything to play. Anyone else having issues?

I use Alexa to request a movie from my Plex server and my Sony Bravia/Android TV automatically plays the movie. It's FANTASTIC!

.... but it doesn't always work, the main hurdle is when Alexa says "your Plex player, Sony Bravia TV is not available"

if i get the remote and open the Plex app, then i can tell Alexa to play the movie and everything works, but this obviously defeats the purpose of using Alexa.

To solve the problem... i think Plex needs to already be open in the background...

My question is... is there a way to have PLEX launch in background every time i turn on the TV? Is there a "startup programs" folder for Android TV?

Hello, was wondering how to set this up. I have a bluetooth mic/speaker thing, but the mi box can't seem to detect it.

How do I get a microphone to work with the mi box, with the mic audio comes out from tv speakers, while i play the youtube app karaoke videos?

I got a new Shield because my old one wasn't working, but I have already spent quite a bit of time setting everything up on. Is there an easy way to just transfer everything over, like apps and data? Some sort of syncing thing?

Anytime I open an app like Food Network, Fox, or Travel Channel I have to reverify my service provider. It's so frustrating! Anyone else have this issue or know a fix?

Anyone else having issues with Movies Anywhere app on Mi Box Android TV? I can get it to play fine on my other devices like Apple TV an Firestick but I get “Playback Error” with Mi Box. Tried restarting, uninstalling, clearing cache/data but nothing seems to work.

Now I can actually go back to everything from the now playing menu instead of have to press back 50 times 😁 We can also play or Thumbs Up music now. And it now does have moods I think. It looks very simplistic now, kinda like what they did with the YouTube app, simple black background, not too many options.

So I've got the mi box and a Samsung sound bar, and they work great, but I would like to set the mi box to send volume commands to my Logitech harmony, so I can change the sound bars volume.

Is this possible?

Several apps I use I pulled from my firetv and side loaded into my shield. Is there a website that hosts Android TV apps where I could download the compatible apps straight to my device instead of having to go through the trouble of pulling apps, renaming, transferring then installing them to my shield?

I've been using cetus play with my other s905 android boxes running custom android tv os rom and it works flawlessly. But I cant seem to make it work with the mi box. The mouse pointer moves but its not responding with my clicks. Even the D-pad is not working.

It says in the description that it works with the mi box.
