Sometimes when I'm watching something on Netflix the image freezes for some seconds but audio continues normally. Is there a way to prevent this? Is this another bug of Oreo?

I have been using an universal control with airmouse and keyboard with my Mi Box. However the keyboard does not work well with the stock android tv keyboard. For example, when I press enter or arrow key on wireless keyboard, it will be applied to the virtual keyboard, other than the input field. I tried to disable Gboard app. The virtual keyboard stopped showing up but enter key still not function on the input field.

Has anyone figured out a way to make it work properly?

The latest official Youtube app is crashing all the time on this box. I believe it is the version 2.03. I tried to clear the data and cache to no affect. Rolled back to previous version always seems to work. I have disabled the auto app updates for now. It was very annoying. Anyone else has a similar issue?

I bought Anderic RR-ST-01 remote control to control my SheildTV and MiBox, through CEC HDMI. I was wondering if there is any work around with 3rd party remotes where I can program a home button instead of clicking back a few times to exit out of a app.

I have a Mi Box that I use just for watching tv. But I have seen the Shield TV pro and it caught my eye. Is the Shield worth the upgrade for just the use of watching TV.

Yes the added storage is a plus but that's really all I can think of any input would be great.

(For the record I'm one of the lucky ones with zero issues with the Mi Box on Android 8.0)

after oreo update it's happened i think . first few day it worked suddenly Android tv remote apk from Google can't find no android tv even i tried with Bluetooth connection nothing happened . anyone face this problem please give me some solution. it's a major pain in the ass . same case with cutus play . looking for the solution in xda in one thread they wiped cache data of Google remote . i try those method too . nothing happened

I have Mi Box just recently updated to Oreo, and I was wondering if there any way I can make it support multiple users or profiles?

I want to setup multiple accounts for me and for my kids so YouTube stop recommending Mikey mouse videos for me 😜 (of course I’m talking about android multiple users not only YouTube)

I am coming across an error that I have not seen described on any forum or discussion of Mi box known bugs. I bought a Mi Box 3 on Friday, watched a movie, it worked flawlessly, and then I updated it to Oreo. Now whenever I watch anything with 5.1 audio on Plex, the audio cuts out completely after one minute. I cannot find a solution to this, and I'm guessing the only thing that will fix it will be an update.

Edit: /u/cfoucher's solution of turning off automatically change quality did the trick. Setting it to a static video quality and audio to original appears to have fixed it

HI, I have an older android box, the"victsing" which I received as a gift, and it's atrocious. Just reboots when it wants and generally takes 20 tries for an app to launch (fios, YouTube, kodi etc).

I don't have the need to cast as such, but I was going to pickup the chromecast 4k and pair it with an old samsung tab A to create a media streaming setup.

Given the above, would you advise me to go the Mi box route instead? Or another device? Pricing for either the mi box 3 or the chromecast is similar so I am agnostic to the solution.

Hello. So i just bought a uGreen USB 3.0 ethernet adapter wich is sayd to work out of the box in the AndroidTV ou the Minix and NVIDIA Shields. I connected ir to my Philips tv so i can end my ethernet speed problem. But its showing has a "not supported device". Any way i can install a driver to get it working?

could someone please help how to properly set up hdr (picture settings)? i got ps4 pro and sometimes the picture seems too dark or too bright. also, it seems to me that there is dynamic contrast, although i i do not see any option like that turned on in my settings. Thanky for any tips!
